The Olympic Games are indeed upon us, so let's have a giveaway.

Up for grabs is a Kershaw Tyrade!!!

Rules:
*You have to have already posted at least 1 time in the Kershaw Sub-Forum (prior to me posting this contest)
*No Internationals
*1 guess, and one guess only
*Don't screw up, and don't pick the same time as the poster in front of you.
*You have to have your guess in prior to the starting gun (Yes we all will be watching International time).
*Anyone breaking one or more of the rules gets a dose of "family" hazing.

Contest:
The Men's Marathon will wrap up the Track & Field competition, and it's an event that I enjoy very much. The closest guess to the winning time without going over will be our champion.

In addition, the person that is the closest to the winning time can also pick up a Composite Leek and Composite JYD II with picking the winning runner

So I need a time and a runner!!

Gotta do a little homework on this one folks.

Follow your guess(s) with what we could improve on as a company. If you forget this part, you are bounced from the giveaway

Good luck kiddies

A few more features on the website would be nice. Maybe a list of past products. There honestly isn't too much you could change as a company that I would know anything about.

Billy Joel said:
Just the Way You Are

Don't go changing, to try and please me
You never let me down before
Don't imagine you're too familiar
And I don't see you anymore
I wouldn't leave you in times of trouble
We never could have come this far
I took the good times, I'll take the bad times
I'll take you just the way you are

Don't go trying some new fashion
Don't change the color of your hair
You always have my unspoken passion
Although I might not seem to care

I don't want clever conversation
I never want to work that hard
I just want someone that I can talk to
I want you just the way you are.

I need to know that you will always be
The same old someone that I knew
What will it take till you believe in me
The way that I believe in you.

I said I love you and that's forever
And this I promise from the heart
I could not love you any better
I love you just the way you are.

Thanks for the opportunity, Thomas.
And GOOD LUCK to all!

Ryan Hall 2:08:08 Thanks for the chance!
Improve as a company? Well, your customer service is impeccable, and you have a wide range of products from for the layman (30.00+ -) to elite (200.00+) so I guess the best thing for the company to do is continue what your doing!

I would like to see many models offered without the AO, and with a traditional thumb stud/hole rather than a flipper.

Thanks, and keep up the great work!

Gotta go with spiral on this one...upgrade the website. Better pics and descriptions. I like the 360 views.

Thomas W., thanks for all of these contests. They are very generous of you and Kershaw.

My guess for a winning time for the Olympic Marathon is 2h04:40 and the winning athlete will be Haile Gebrselassie.

I think Kershaw's customer service is top notch; you've reached out to the main stream market (Food Network, Williams-Sonoma) thru Alton Brown and the Shun kitchen knives; you've reached out to the military thru your partnership with Strider in ZT knives; and advocacy for knife rights in various states that are considering restrictive legislation is another area that you are strong in. I think you are doing all the right things to improve your company's position. I can't think of anything that you could do other than what you are already doing. Unless you can get Oprah to become a fan on her TV show.

I would like to see a larger selection of traditional styles ie. slipjoint, lockbacks, and a pocket fixed blade with leather pocket sheath in a good tool steel! That was a bit more detail than you asked for, but so be it!

I'm going to guess Martin Lel of Kenya as the winner, winning time of 2:07:06.

The only thing I can think of to improve the company, and it wouldn't be an improvement, just an option, to be able to custom order knives with different blade steel/ handle options. And perhaps a factory outlet as well.

Thanks for the contest, Thomas

Customizing a Kershaw to order is a great idea.

2:09:03, Ryan Hall. As a company, i would have to say the Web site needs a little improvement. Personally, when i go to the Web site, it is not very appealing to me. The video feature is a good thing though.

Do i qualify TW? do i have more than one post in this forum? :p :p

anyway, Hall at 2:08.20

what to do to improve the company? hmm. well i definatly agree with the website suggestion. a MAJOR upgrade is needed. As for the 360 views, make them of the individual knives, not just one knife from that catagory (like the leek. VERY guilty of that). it would be cool to see for sure.

also a list of the upcoming sprint runs on the site, along with past sprint runs so that those of us who do not visit BF and this forum have a way of telling whats coming.

Man, Thomas, another great giveaway. If I win, I'll keep the JYD II and giveaway the other knives (maybe, this is a tough choice, and of course if Thomas allows it). I once again know nothing of the runners or times, but I'll go with Ryan Hall, 2:07:00. And again, more pictures and better descriptions of knives on the site. It's already pretty good, but I'd like real high res images.

To improve the company? Hmmm. Hard question...
This may sound a little out there, but just to fill the space I'll put what I've been thinking about lately.

I'm fully aware and know first hand that most kershaw and especially ZT knives would stand the test against outdoor use for the usual needs of a camper/backpacker/survivalist/adventurer, but how about designing and releasing a string of knives (say 3 or 4) designed for just that purpose? A no BS, no frills, all practical knife or knives designed for an outdoorsman would be a good thing for the company in my opinion.

EDIT: 2:06:67 Kipsang

Show limit/sprint run items on your website with the original knives. I.E. Ti/ZDP Mini Cyclone.
