Marathon Giveaway

Hall 2:07:77
Updated Website, and maybe, (just dreaming here) but as one said up above, a Kershaw knife built to order.

Thanks Thomas!

Winning Time = 2:09:33

Winner: Hall

Company Improvement: Open a Custom Shop ala Smith & Wesson, etal..

Thanks Thomas!

Ok, here goes my guess for the marathon.

I'll stick with our boy Ryan Hall. Time is 2:08:06.

One improvement I'd like to see is upgraded handles, i.e. some exotic woods or carbon fiber. I know you already do great things with Titanium for handles, and you've already got the blades looking great:thumbup:, but a knife or two with some good CF, Micarta, or a hardwood would be icing on my Kershaw cake!!

Thanks Thomas,

Jonny

I agree with the website updates and that sprint runs need to be shown on it such as the Damascus Leeks/Scallion/Chive. You also might wanna work on your customer service, I hear it's been pretty shady:D

2:08:03 - Ryan Hall, because apparently he's the American, and I'm gonna go with good ol' USA.

Improve as a company? You could hire me.

Seriously, there's not much wrong with you guys, but every company does have places where it needs to improve... I'd love to see a feature on the site where you can compare actual sizes of knives together, like... a picture/animation of a knife beside like a CD case (just something we are all familiar with). Then if you wanna compare it in size to other knives, it puts them side by side. Also 3D views would be cool. But all that is probably fairly expensive stuff, so I dunno.

Thanks

Web site needs tweaking. More views of knives. Archive of discontinued models.

I'll say Lel in 2:11:03.

I'd like to see more folder models with contoured handles, kinda like the Spec Bump. Those contoured handles feel so much better in the hand than the flat ones.

Improvements? That's like the cheetah (Kershaw) asking the sloth (me) how to run fast!
I would say, maybe an updated website? A few of the fixed blades done up in Sandvik? Other than that what else could be done? You guys are pert-near perfect.

I agree that the website can be changed around. I would really like a 360 view of the knives to view the pocket clips of all models.

Ryan Hall is going to do it in 2:07.55

I guess I'll go with the majority here with the Kershaw website.
Maybe some video interviews with our beloved knife designers.

i'm goin with hall...2:06:42....i would LOVE to see some upgraded handle mateials....if you had some exotic wood scales...or other upgraded handles i would own alot more folders....l....i like the diea of video interviews someone had....ryan

2:09:27, done by Ryan Hall. He PR'd at 2:06:17 but Beijing is hot as hell now and the air is notorious.
More fixed blades would be great. I'd also love to see some tomahawks/hatchets and some frame-locks by Kershaw instead of ZT (so they're tough but not as bulky).

For the winner I have to go with Kenya, they win our Boston Marathon too frequently to bet against them. I will say SEL does it 2:00:00 flat.

Can't think of a way to improve your PRODUCTS (except even more of them!), I think your website could use improvement though. Pictures are kinda small, I find it harder/less enjoyable to navigate than those of other manufacturers.

Martin Lel in 2:07:37

I would like to see more damascus blade knives and also more nice thin blades with SG2 like the JYD II.

Right. So, I made up a little table of all the entries so far, just so I could sort them. The problem is that I'm seeing different formats. Some people have xx:xx:xx, some have xx:xx.xx (note the decimal point), and some have a number greater than 59 in the seconds column. At least, I assume it's supposed to be the seconds column. Isn't the proper format "hr:min:sec" to express a theoretical maximum of 99:59:59? Or have I missed something?

Time: 2:05:15
Winner: Martin Lel
Improvement: That's a tough one, but keeping more of the sprint run knives as permanent catalog items would be awesome.

I too would like to see a listing of all discontinued models on the website and
as mentioned above me by Let It Bleed, I think some of the sprint runs should
be regular production.
Blue Blur being one of them.

Again, I would truly love to see a comprehensive photo/specs archive of older, discontinued models on the website.
