Looks like the same as the Pro series, except the BOTM has a USA made sheath

Buck's description of the handle color is slightly different:

Pro Series - "Green canvas Micarta"

BOTM - "Olive Drab Green canvas Micarta"

But the real world difference (if any) in color might not be noticeable ?

As for the actual handle of the BOTM:

Handle: "This one uses the larger 105 handle and guards" (Thank you J Hubbard - Post #33).

If i was collecting pro models I’d have to get this one too. Might be the only chance at a pro 117.

It will be interesting if they slowly complete the set.

If I personally were collecting the Pro series - this is an easy buy and a must. As you said, Buck may never make the 117 in the Pro series, and if they do it may be with a different handle color / material.

And reading the forums, people constantly say - I wish I would have purchased that one to complete my series when I had the chance.

No I think it's a Mexico made..usually USA made have a flag embossed in it and says made in usa..USA.. mine doesn't

I was going by what Buck said on their web page... if you have your BOTM 117 already I guess you would know.

Received mine today (indicated with red arrow). The O.D Green is pretty darn close to the Pro set in handle coloring.

On my screen, can't tell the difference in color at all. The 120 at the bottom looks more different in color (a little darker) than all the rest, but probably just the picture.
