March of Dimes fundraiser 2011 WIP

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I picked up the knife at the post office and picked up the knife and its sheath. Paul's work is, as usual, excellent. So's Joe's engraving. It's been sharpened and ready to ship off to John so he can put the finishing touches on the stand (and glue in the new and improved finial). Just got to decide if I want to deal with the ice and snow again today. Man, it's just hard to ride my Harley in this stuff!

I'll take your 'Ice and Snow' and raise it tenfold. You don't even know what's going on up here in the Northeast.... :thumbdn:

;) :p

Sounding great! :)

UNFORTUNATELY I know first hand Coop! There is about 3 ft. of snow on the ground, ice about 1/2 ft thick on the edge of the roof, which has OVER a foot of compacted snow, and HUGE icicles! I've never seen this much snow in a winter here before.

Buildings are collapsing all over the state now!!

Roof rakes and snowblowers are nowhere in local stores!

I'm glad I don't live down there where you guys got all the bad weather. :D It's 15 degrees above and only 3 inches of snow in all of Jan. up here.

Three times that much snow and ice below right now, and it's under 10 degrees. This and the once every 50 years blizzard we had 13 months ago has all thumbing our noses and the global warming clowns!

Final update to this thread. The knife, sheath, and stand components arrived in the mail this morning. I will complete the stand over the weekend, then mail it of to Coop so he can wrap things up on Tuesday.
A new thread will be started when I get the images from Coop. Thanks to all who participated in this effort, and thanks to the viewers and posters of this thread for keeping the excitement alive!

It's here. As is often the case, the knife, the engraving, the steel, the stand, and the sheath are INCREDIBLY better than I imagined.

I'm working on it today.... :D Just WOW!
