I've just signed up for the ABS and will be testing in the distant year of 2019... seems like a long time, but with how much fun I'm having I'm sure it will be here sooner than later!
Also really glad you like the sheath. Like you said its not Paul Long, but its an important part for me and I'm eager to learn as much as i can about leather to ensure that i deliver a well balanced package.

Lorien: You know you bring up a very interesting point. Besides the politics etc... I've been talking to some of my fellow makers about attaching a narrative to the knives. For example Jerry Fisk has it down pat; he often incorporates historical elements into his work that give his knives a certain measure of intangible value.
I've been thinking heavily as of late on themes to attachment for a series of knives and found your comment quite interesting; getting the juices flown! thanks
