It just arrived, thank you kindly Buck and Larry O, I couldn't be more tickled.

Let me take a moment to try and slow my heart rate...

It opens like a high-end automatic, scary fast the first few times you flip it. Really.

Easy one-hand close with my thumb. I am right handed. The blade swings free as if totally without friction.

The lockup is solid.

The lasering has left some striations on the face of the blade in some angled light. I cannot feel them with my fingernail.

This is a user for me so I am starting to carry it today.

Gotta get another for the vault in case, well, just in case.

Weighs 4.3 ounces.

Top lock bar, serrated on both edges, does NOT interfere with my forward or my reverse grip.

There is no stamping on the blade None. Only lasering. Kind of reminds me of a credit card the way the lettering dances in the light as you move the knife.

The top lock bar is adjustable.

No part of the knife gives off much light so it won't give away your position.

Oregon,

Can you shoot the knife showing how the blade is centered when closed? This seems to be a big issue and one of the biggest complaints we hear from folks. I'll wait for you to used this knife for a while and if you still love it Steve I'll order one;).

Good to hear from someone who actually has one in hand. I usually wait for the frist round of reviews before I order, but waiting is hard with this one.

Very attractive and looks like buck is expanding their market. The lock reminds me of a CRK Ti-Lock. Is the function similar?

Thanks for posting, I'm on a pre-order, hope to get mine asap

The centering is spot on to my sore eyes. And I have to look down at the closed blade in strong light and slightly turn the knife back and forth to judge the equidistance of clearance on both sides of the blade and how it clears the insides of the side scales. It satisfies my taste in centering.

Hard to see the tiny adjusting screw inside the end port but it is there.

WOOHOO!!!! :) :) :) :)
Dang, now I am even more exited!
I am hoping Larry received and sent me the one I ordered too, but I did order it after you ordered yours.

DeserChris proceeds to get out the binoculars and surveys the desert landscape for the mail carrier.

I haven't worked Chris Reeve's Ti-Lock (also a collab. with the Hawks) but I suspect per utube video that it is not as strong of a lock as the Marksman per a quote in the video of the maker and is more of a gentleman's knife). I am off to OKCA this month and may get a chance to handle that one for comparison. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-JHfA5oy6o

I have a Post Office box so can sometimes beat that competition when it comes to mailing time. BTW, my last look at your mailer says out for delivery. I'm so senile I hope that I didn't send you my dirty whites instead of the other stuff, s/b three items in the box.

That is a very interesting lock. I'd be interested in this knife if it weren't for the terrible pocket clip. Man I hate that style. Same problem as the al mar sere.

Hahahaha, I checked too, your package should be here in a couple hours or so!
I am super excited about that too. And 3 items? Excitement levels just jumped up a notch!

This is shaping up to be a fun knife week. Found something on the Bay that might show up tomorrow :)
A fixer upper, but easily cleaned up home spa style :)

Senile..... I mailed a letter the other day, it came back the next day. I put my own address as the "TO", and their address as the "FROM".... geez.....

Larry must have mass mailed. My two came in today also. Both are well centered with daylight between the blade and scales. Very fast, very sharp. Lockup is TIGHT, like a fixed blade as advertised. No blade play in any direction. Closing is a two handed deal but I believe as it breaks in and I learn how to adjust the lock I will be able to close it one handed. Very very sweet, fast, and sharp. Can't beat a BOSS HT process.
THANKS LARRY O! YOU DA MAN!! :D:thumbup:

The outside edges of the handle are beveled pretty good. I've tried pulling it from my blue jeans RF pocket several times and there is hesitation but nothing like it is stuck. I need a pocket carry knife to stay in my pocket because I am quite physical during my typical days and can lose just about anything, including wrist watch, accelerometer, rings, buttons and such. I like the clip.

A short video of my opening and closing (one-handed) the Marksman 830 on day one. What fun and excitement for me. Yee hah!

Good to find something that needs a kind home. Something to love and rehabilitate and take a photo of for the rest of us.

You secretly didn't want to part with the contents of the letter! LOL. You are all right.

Thanks for the video. Looks like a great knife. How secure is the the closed blade? The blade appears to swing freely in part of the video.

Oregon,

Sir, how long is the handle? can you put it beside a 110 for size comparison?
