Marksman 830, First Look, WOW! Pics & Video

Have you tried to tighten down the lock bar? Maybe use some loctite?

Mine arrived today, I have to say I'm a little let-down. The knife fires fast and the flipper function is great. Very smooth. Lockup on mine is solid as a rock and blade is centered perfect.

It's just all about the lock for me. Disengaging the lock is not easy for me with one hand, it feels like it should be a two hand operation. You have to slide back your grip a little on the spine of the handle which feels unnatural to me and when I do get the lock to release it swings so freely down at that point it catches the meat of my palm that extends down my thumb. I'm not worried about cutting myself, I don't think that would happen...but for me - the mechanics feel clumsy.

I also have some casting marks on the clip side that I'm really not crazy about. For a nearly $100 knife. I really kinda expected more on the fit/finish side.

This one is going to be a catch and release for me. :(

Mine was impossible with one hand until I took the strap off and bent it a bit then put it back on positioned slightly further towards the blade. Now it is easy one handed unlocking without repositioning my grip

I still think it's clumsy for me. Just wasn't what I had hoped. I'm not crazy about how it catches my hand.

Here's some of the QC issues I was referring to, nothing I think really worth getting too upset about...but again on a knife that sells for $95, I expected it to be better.
