Marksman 830, First Look, WOW! Pics & Video

This came as swag from a certain retailer years ago. They can be found today. Heavy to mail. Not inexpensive IMHO. Very cool, however. I missed it.

How do you find the opener? Do you use the thumb hole or the flipper nub?

Flipper just makes the blade fly open as you know. I was at a cookout last night and everyone assumed it was a switch blade. It opens that fast. Must have flipped it open a hundred times already. Opens faster than any other knife I've ever owned including the Spyderco Southard. Very easy to open slowly with the thumb hole as well. Finding disengagement of the lock is a little trickier to master.

I have yet another pic request, could someone please post a pic of the 830 with 124?

I just now saw this Oregon, thanks for all the most excellent photos and vids of this fantastic new knife! I definitely will be getting one of these down the road a piece...too many irons in the fire right now. I do like the incorporation of the index finger "hook" ala the 112, and the vid shows how freely that blade swings. Thanks again for the awesome in depth review

You are welcome. I was hoping that you would enjoy this thread. It was fun for me. Big fun.

Local dealer had some so I also picked one up. Not sure but there was one on the bay not long ago.

May need to tighten my lock up a little, slight bit of blade play when open. Centered when closed and I am liking the knife a lot all around.
Clip does seem to be a pocket eater though, don't think they needed to make it as tight/harsh as it it.

In the end I think this is a real winner for Buck.

That knife looks very interesting! Thanks for the pictures and videos and for the link from the EDC thread.

Thank you for visiting the Buck Forum. It is pretty well hidden but a terrific place. I came here on a key word search for the Ti 186 years ago and I've enjoyed this forum a ton. I am happy that you think that the 380 is worth a look. All the best mrdeus.

It came!!!
