As a quick update. Nearly three years later the Caiman is still making trips to the field with me, and still going strong. It aided in prepping a quick lunch out in the field yesterday

It's doing fine. No looseness or play at all. As far as I know it is threaded together, pressed, and then epoxied with that epoxy NASA uses in space.
