Massdrop/Laconico Keen

I have learned much here. Having done so, I am further committed to an Impinda and three fixed blade customs already in the works, i.e., a Raeven WN, a full size Cohutta Strebig, and a McCarter Kephart. Possibly a custom 8.5 or 9-inch long thin blade, a carver. (Looking.) A new 12-knife battery will just replace my trusty work assortment in blissful retirement. Only a Wustof 4582/26 remains. All new with nothing left in steel but memories of knives past.

This Keen configuration marks you as a man of extreme intellect, razor sharp wit, devastating good looks, peak vitality and virility, and charisma beyond what most mortals know possible.

Just my completely unbiased, totally humble interpretation of the facts.
Yep, almost as much so as if it were blasted raw titanium with portals. :D

I’ve had my Bronze Keen with the milled line in pocket since it arrived on Saturday. Just like all of my WE knife purchases it has perfect fit, finish and action. Hard to buy any other knife brands since purchasing my first WE a couple of years ago.

$460 Hinderer XM-18 Gen 5 back to the factory twice for the same detent issue. $410 Sebenza back to the factory for a lock slab replacement almost right out of the box. $150 WE perfect just like my $40 Civivi, $70 Gent, $120 Buc and a couple of other $249 WE models.

Lol, that $5 extra is worth it every time!

Well, not EVERY time. I paid for the expedited shipping & four days later my knife still wasn't shipped. They apologized & refunded the $5, but I would rather have had the knife in four days. Doesn't detract from how great this knife is though.

This is my first WE creation and it Is an extremely impressive knife. Fit and finish are superb.

And BOOM goes the dynamite! LOL!!!

I have to confess, I had a bit of buyer’s remorse right after I pulled the trigger on this one. I almost couldn't believe what people were saying about this knife and all the positive reviews it had. When the box finally arrived about 15 minutes ago, I was actually a little nervous to open it as I thought disappointment was going to hit me.

... but it didn't!

I am truly blown away by this knife. The color and scale combo is just gorgeous, and the action/build/materials are outstanding.

The one thing I didn't count on was the ergonomics. This knife is damn near perfect for my size medium hands. Even the weight is spot on. It's solid, but not heavy.

All in all I could not be happier with this one!!!

I’ve been so close to grabbing this. I just never enjoy sculpted clips. That’s my only hang up. The minimalism is so beautiful.

And grey groove is sold out.

The execution of the pocket clip might actually be my favorite thing about the knife. It’s probably the single biggest reason why I carry the Keen every day now, instead of rotating. My work jeans have obnoxious pocket seams, and the Keen has no trouble with them.

I agree but do know that this one is better than most. The length and thinness make it work quite well.

For the price I’d be tempted to try it, but of the options, really want the grey groove. I’ll debate portals or original mentally for a bit, since groove is gooone.
