Massdrop Supergold Endura or Delica?

Delayed a bit more. They are either at or on the way to Golden and being or getting inspected for qc. Shouldn't be much longer. Guessing next month.
 
It’s been one heck of a wait for these. Ha ha. I looking forward to handling my Endura.

I wonder if there will be a few for immediate sale on their site. Maybe some people backed out due to the wait.
 
If we're lucky, I've sometimes seen Massdrop offer up basically "leftovers" at a later time. Here's hoping!

Thanks for posting this. I'm not sure why but I never received this. I've received all their other communications about this drop.

Mine was in another location in my mailbox. Gmail sorts mail into different folders or tabs now.
 
I got my notice too but later in the day. Maybe they mailed them out in waves.

Anyway I was on the site yesterday and noticed I"d ordered the knife last April so it's looking like it will have been one full year for this to happen.

SG2 looks like it's somewhat similar to S30V but with less V, more Mo and a little more Cr...anyone have any experience with it?

I have a kitchen knife made of it and played around with a Fallkniven SK3 Juni which uses it.

In my experience it performs kind of like a mix between ZDP-189 and high carbon steel. It’s super hard and the edge lasts forever, but it’s still pretty easy to put a very fine edge on it. Seems a little bit “chippier” than the S30V I’ve used.

I’d love to hear how it’s done for more experienced users.
