Well, hell its already two pages long, lets keep her going:p
Anyway, this is my opinion.I'm sure Mr.Lamey is a good person, but I think Big Tex had a legetimate gripe no matter if he planned on cancelling the order or not.I see people posting defending the being late with a knife.Actually, this is not unreasonble, but communication should be kept up with the customer. The real problem that I think Big Tex had was not so much a late issue, but other people receiving knives that had ordered after he did.I would also not be happy with that type of business practice if that was actually the case.just my two cents:cool:

Simply amazing. I think that there are those folks who would say "gee, who cares if Mr Knifemaker shot ya in the balls with a shotgun, you are still getting a hell of a knife and should be honored he allowed you to even order it. So, wait the 3 years (on a promised 6 month deliver) and shut up :) )

A knife is a knife is a knife, and no BT should not have to wait and wait and wait and be strung along with no ommunication while others get their knives that were ordered aftewards. Everybody likes to talk about the wonderful knife which seems to make the makers lack of good business "OK". Its about time some the makers who work this way to realize that THEY are the ones who should be homored to have somebody order their knives (those folks are called CUSTOMERS).

Also, I for one am glad to see these types of threads for one reason. Lets pretend that BT never posted this. Then later I order a Lamey knife and it never shows up, my emails go un-answered and I am seeing people get knives that ordered after me. Now, of course I would be mad, but I would be even madder if I found out that BT had the same problem but never said anything when he had an oppurtunity to make others aware of this headache.

It's like this...

First, there are no "cheapasses" or the potential for them anymore. People have a choice, they can either sign up for a Gold Membership to sell knives here, or they choose not to sell. It's that simple.

I'll reiterate what I said earlier - I'd rather have a smaller core group of paying members who actively want to support the forums, instead of a much larger group that resents being here.

Big Tex, you crossed over the line here. I understand and appreciate the sentiment, but please don't belittle or berate the membership here. In the future, do not delete threads.

As for everyone else, thanks for the feedback, both good and bad.

Kevin
