May 2025 Buck of the Month - 112 Slim Pro TRX MagnaCut Blade with Silver Aluminum Handle

Oh, thank goodness! It's BLADE in roughly 30 days and I would have hated to have had to peel off $200 for the BOTM. Thankfully, this is a hilariously bad misstep that I'm entirely good with passing on. I'm actually mystified as to how this got approved. All Buck had to do was make a "hero" version of the Vader 112, they'd have sold out instantly with a blue or green blade.

This knife frankly looks like something my wife would enjoy carrying to an Easter get-together. 🤷

A real shame.

I thought that my phone was playing tricks on me when I saw the email...BOTM on a Sunday??? What is this 'crushed' Cerakote crap?

I might have gone for one if the blade was left naked, a regular aluminum anodized(can be colored) handle and just the clip was Crushed Orchid Cerakote.

I must be a stick in the mud kindof a guy. I never did get into the Star Wars movies and it all seemed nonsensical to me. When I was a kid there was a tv show called lost in space and it was so fake and stupid to me almost comical. You know the phrase danger will robertson danger! Lol and that cowardly dr I disliked him and he was a big turnoff for me. I guess star wars seemed reminiscent of that show somehow. I don’t know maybe it was better but I didn’t want to waste a couple hours to find out. Lol. Byw I didn’t like disco, the bee gees, Saturday night fever or john travolta either. Lol. I was more into westerns and John Wayne type movies. Lol now maybe if they did a John Wayne tribute knife theme I would be more interested.

came here to find out why it is purple... to me, there are 3 star wars movies...😅 that one off was good too.... rogue squadron?

You are bucking the trend. The majority of the world enjoys Star Wars - the movies, series, cartoons, comic books, merchandise etc. To compare it to Lost in Space is like comparing The Godfather to Get Smart. Lost in Space is campy, just like the Batman series. I was a kid at the time and watched it anyway. But not everyone enjoys the same thing, so that is OK too. I liked John Wayne movies too but I think most young ones probably don't even know who he is.

I bought last year's 112 and eventually resold it. Aluminum TRX, weird milling, and a cerakoted blade (red last time).

That knife felt absolutely great in the hand, and eventually led me to buy the Titanium limited one when it went on clearance. But the bright red and the milling pattern got old to me.

Similar feelings with this knife - looks cool, probably feels great, but the color would get to me after the excitement wore off (almost as fast as the cerakote would start to wear in spots, but I digress lol).
