you make me want to buy an axe just so I can put a mirror polish on it!

We do have some great makers here at bladeforums! If you want to get the most out of a hawk I highly suggest you hit up one of our makers from the axe forum.

IDK if id be willing to spend too much on one to be honest, I'd probally just get one from homedepot or something.

As a knifemaker, I never knew people liked mirror finishes so much. In the maker world, as a general rule, mirror finishes are avoided; both because they are a lot of added work; because they mar so easily; and because there is a perception there isn't a big market for them. It seems, though, that perception could be wrong?

I like polished mirror edges, but I don't like a polished blades. Satin is my preference on blades.

It's one thing to have a mirror edge, but when you start showing the lettering on the camera lens being reflected by the edge, that's just plain showing off!

Well done.

What do you mean? gotta make sure the lens is clean :)

It wasn't until I started reading the great tutorials here at BF and invested in better sharpening equipment that I started learning what could really be done. I have this great site to thank for it!

Links pls? I like to read as much information as I can. Was just wondering specifically what you are referring to.
