No one is trying to convince anyone else not to buy a medford, has anyone said that? Some fans made some statements that are just flat wrong and got called on it.

What's hilarious is the bung stung knife fans who think their 5mm thick knives cut through all media well lol criminy. Yea OK.

Bung stung. LOL

It's a classic response people get when they are told their favorite knife doesn't cut that great. Kinda amusing actually..

The surprise and denial over a thick knife not being a great cutter never gets old.
It’s very amusing. LOL

I don't know why it is so hard to accept, I have plenty of thick knives and I am fully aware they don't cut great. If someone said Miller bro blades M27 doesn't cut well I'd say I can't disagree, no reason to dig in and pretend my .25+ knife is some how an amazingly deceiving great cutter...because it isn't. I guess I am realist.

You are absolutely correct.

I agree that it comes to personal preference. I'm one of the many that prefers to carry one small and one large EDC. For a large EDC, I couldn't be happier with the Marauder H that I purchased from another member on BF. Greg and Amy are both great people. I'll continue to support and follow them as their company grows.

Back in 2016 while i was working in the knife Dept. at a local sporting goods store, a customer asked to see a Madford Praetorian TI, after holding it and opening it he asked me if you owned this knife how would you use it.
I told him in my minds eye it was designed as a knife to defend someones life, and if i had to use for this i would try stabbing with it and maybe using it to beat their head in.
I also told him i would not use it to cut my steak in a restaurant.
Truth is i can't afford this knife so i won't really have to deal with something like that anyway.

Marauder BTE: 0.032"
Praetorian BTE: 0.028"

As for the assertion that "No one ever said Medfords cannot cut", well, in other threads people explicitly said they would "cut like a brick." Or squish material as if a hammer were used.
Unless these same people have bricks and hammers that cut paper, rope and other materials, it does sound like they are saying that the knives do not function as knives.

But then again, I think water is wet, so my opinion is highly suspect.
Serious question, do you mind taking some pictures/video of your Medford cutting up some apples, potatoes and a few slices of cheese? Let us know how it compares to something like a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 or Military.

I don't understand you "thin cuts better in some cases" people. It's obvious that thicker is better. Even air shows that.

Think about it, everyone knows that this passes through the air:

. . . just as well as this:

It just never gets old pointing out the obvious I guess...

Hey, that's been some guys experience! Turns out guys like Phil Wilson and Sal glesser have their ideology on cutting performance all wrong.

Mine? Nah, it is D2 so it would likely fail the impact of the cheese.
It would rust instantly.

Guess it ages about the same as the people who pretend things like thick knives don't give up cutting performance. The outright denial is a joke, keep defending tho!
