I got to use my MC today! I had to remove part of this plant so I could pressure clean and paint my driveway. It was a bit of an overkill. The LC could have handled it easily, but I don’t get many chances to use my choppers in the south Florida suburbs.

From the preorder thread on 10/12/2018, as stated by Nathan:

We're going to order a custom run of 3V for this and this big knife is too large to gang up across two mills and run as a continuous process so, I don't expect them to start to finish up for about six months. They will ship as they're finished in the order that they are ordered in. As I'm building them, some of the knives made will go to this pre-order and some will be sold in regular sales. This means you will see knives being sold while you're waiting for your knife.

Don't expect anything before the end of March 2019 and then fulfillment depends on where your order falls among the preorders.

I was under the impression from the pre-order for the MC that the HDMC deliveries were timed at or about the same time as the MC, since they could be ordered in the pre-order thread, which pretty much read as if development was complete.

I think that Lorien was just being mischievous! The developmental HDMC exists and that in about a year as in the next year is just around the corner.

Yeah I lied. I had a preliminary HDMC prepared during the preorder which the dimensions and specifications were based on but I changed it. Sorry. It's not a "Heavy Chopper" and it's not just a beefed up heavy duty Medium Chopper, it's its own knife. Edit To Add: It's not just a beefed up MC, it will have substantial chopping power. People who ordered them will be in for a treat.

We've started on the chopper production now. The material is here, it is cut up and decked to width into blanks and we're about to start grinding it into thickness. But it will be warm outside before the first of them start shipping. The entire pre-order will ship before the end of 2019 but most will be sooner.
