Last time I spoke with Ban, he is now taking on Busse work on a case by case basis again...he did stop working on Busses for a while so that he could focus on his own knives, but over the last year or two he's been taking on some modification work - seems like he really enjoys working on them based on our conversations about it. I'd say just shoot him an email, break down what you want done and he'll let you know -- BUT with all that said, he is currently recovering from a pretty heavy-duty leg injury right now, so you may want to wait a few weeks before sending any questions or work requests his way as he is currently off his feet.

I will ad that as a proud, perpetually happy owner of a Ban'd AK47, I highly recommend you go for it! It will be expensive since it's such a large blade, but I imagine it'll be well worth the price. Feel free to get in touch if you have any other questions regarding Ban-ification :cool: :thumbup:

I would have had to cancel some orders to do that. Still, I was able to do 4 CG & 3 BG without going back on my previous commitments. :)

+1 mine will slice through a 3+ inch thick phone book top to bottom cleanly in one pass. Amazing edge geometry!

Yea, it's kinda crazy how slicey a Ban'd AK47 can be....I haven't tried a stock AK47, so I have no idea how they compare, although I'm guessing what you lose is pure brute force chopping ability (due to the Ban-induced weight loss) is more than made up for with the improved edge geometry and balance. good lord, just writing about it has me thinking I'm going to have to take mine out to play real soon!



Back on topic - HOLY CARP! I'm soooo freakin pumped for the BB13 (along with the rest of my OP 2 WEEKS acquisitions...) - I really don't see how Jerry and the crew can keep topping themselves, but they soo are....

Agreed!! He really knocked it out of the park with both offerings --- which is absolutely why I had to get both!! My B11 is getting nervous
 
I tried to find pics/specs of ot on the website, its not there.
Were CG BB13 .25 thick ? If not, How thick ? I did order one.

The CG was .250 and the BG .187.

Until Busse gets aroud to restoring the BB13 pages in the BCK website, you can find the pics/specs on the first post of this thread.
 
Man My wife surprised me an ordered me a BB13 for my birthday..the War Train is actually making me long for this even more because though I plan to use the WTF an give it a beating, I need a Busse I can use for the real real heavy abuse.. an not feel bad. BB13 is perfect for such a task!
 
Yeah I couldn't pass up what I saw as a great bargain for a large chopper. Luckily I have time to get funds in order.

I'm so glad I got 2, a thick one and a skinny one.
