Men and Knives on Bladeforums

Don't get me wrong, I'm a beer with a Jameson back guy and carry a Native 5 lightweight, but sometimes we all need to treat ourselves to something ludicrous. It's a quality of life thing.
Hell, I'm sitting here sipping on some domestic suds, sharpening my Emerson Traveler, catching up on some Archer episodes and eating Cheetos. What could be more manly American than that dammit?
Christ, I'm getting ready to start singing the Star Spangled Banner over here. Alright, maybe that part isn't manly but I can live with myself. ;)

Ahem.

Ol' pap's, you just can't beat a sixer of PBR tall boys for $5.34 and a bottle of Taka vodka for $6. I wish I knew how many hours I've spent at the gas station counting out my nickels and dimes. Scratch that, no I don't.
Ahhhh, the good ol' days...

All the hipster bs aside, I actually enjoy a pabst now and then. I don't drink often but when I do, Stella or Newcastle get my top spot for beer.

And to stay on topic:

How's this for manly? I'm working on a knife I'm going to call the "Al-key" which is a survival tool for the outdoorsman/alcoholic.

Hey CM, What kind of sheath are you going to make for it? Maybe a kydex one that still exposes the cap lifter part for use with the knife sheathed?

Something like this...

You like the 0560? Gonna get my first ZT this summer and it might be the one I get.

Manly men like me enjoy storing their kitchen knives in a voodoo knife block... :D

I do like it for what it is. A large, good looking, tough sob. It carries well for its size but, depending on your manliness you may want to look for comparison photos against something you own.

Alright, thanks. If you've carried both, how does it feel when compared to a Griptilian in hand and in pocket?

Actually, my father trapped (snared) them and shot them, I just took pictures of them with the BK9, but I have killed my fair share of them. They kill our sheep and eat usually at most a tongue or ear, taking 100+ dollar chunks out of annual lamb income that is used to support the family and buy things for the farm so we can keep on raising food to feed people like yourself who in all likelihood couldn't and wouldn't do so for themselves. :)

Hope you weren't too awfully scarred by the manliness emanating from this thread, have a nice day!

Now folks, I know some of you have pictures of you skinning stuff with your knife, lets see 'em so we can give Larry something more to holler about!

Well riposted!

Here's some dinner I head-shot at 30' with my M&P 9mm. Santa hat strategically placed to avoid further damaging anyone's sensibilities.
