What a generous contest - I'm in.

Here are the kids just a couple of weeks ago pretending they are Cody Lundin and Dave Canterbury.

The knife used for the weekend was a single blade GEC Pioneer.

Rick, this is an incredible give away.

Rick, this is too generous to pass up.

My favorite knife is a toss-up depending on my mood. It's either the blackwood saddlehorn that you built me last year or the ivory swayback that our buddy Bret built me the year before.

Rick is one of my favorite knife makers. Always willing to help the "newbie" and to do things like this give away. This knife is one that Rick made for me, before it was complete. It is a back pocket with Mammoth Ivory which is one of my favorites, but I would have to
say that the sway-back is one of my all time favorite designs. I like others too, but there is something special about the way a sway
feels in your hand. Especially one dressed in smooth white ivory. Count me in Rick!!!

I don't post here much, and generally stay out of giveaways, but this one is too good to stay out of.
I'm a lifelong barlow fan, but my current favorite is the Case Sway Back Jack.

A very generous offer. Thanks for the chance.:D

This is very generous of you.

My favorite knife has to be my Victorinox Swisschamp. My uncle got it for me as a Christmas present. I had to be in elementary school or middle school, which puts its age in double digits. I'm sure I used every tool on that thing, sometimes just because I had them, like the magnifier to look at anything interesting that came my way. I carried that thing day in and day out for years, from around the house to (many) Cub and Boy Scout camping trips, but all there is to show it is quite a few scratches on the handle and one or two on the long blade, along with my initials engraved on the smaller blade by my father from when I received it. I stopped using it some years ago but saw it in a drawer recent and pulled it out. It had lost some of the snap, so I took water and dish soap to it, then blew it out with an air compressor. Everything snaps open and closed as good as the day it came! That's pretty amazing to me. I'm sure I didn't take it easy on it as a kid.

This is one awesome and generous giveaway Rick! Someone is going to be a very lucky winner (here's hoping that it might be me :D ).

Ah, favorite knives, so hard to pin down. This little 3 3/8" closed PJ Tomes frontlock baby Remington was probably my favorite custom (no longer mine though).

This 3 5/16" Miller Bros half congress is another favorite - will quickly take an amazing edge and is very comfortable in the pocket - and is just an extremely well made knife. Those old boys knew what they were doing.

Rick,

I really like your knives and would love to own one of your slip joints. Thanks for the chance and opportunity!

Well I just had to come out of the woodwork for this great opportunity! I've been signed up to the forums for years but it's only recently that I've got really interested in traditional patterns, having scored two of Keith Johnson's slipjoints (a Lanny's clip and a Sodbuster). Since then all my production knives (Spyderco, Victorinox and even a Chris Reeve Sebenza) have been holed up in the safe. Once you get the bug it's like an addiction and you start planning what custom made knife you would like next!

I have been rather sad and have been collating photos from the forum and yes Rick, you have your own folder on my desktop and there are already a dozen of your patterns on my wish list.

So, please add me to the list and thank you for your generosity.

Edit: Took a great photo today
