Rick you are truly too generous!

Win or lose I would like to get together with you and have you make a single blade slip joint. My favorite blade is probably an old Randall #1 from the 60's. Although I generally have something from Chris Reeve in my pocket.

Wow thank you for such a amazing give away, I never thought I would get the chance to get one of your beautiful knives let alone through a giveaway. Thanks to all the forum members for the great pics in this thread.

Nick

Thank you for the very generous chance on one of your beautiful knives. The trapper pattern in my favorite, but I like them all.

This is very generous of you. Some amazing examples posted of your work.

Here is one of my favorites. It's actually one I put together from two of the same knife that had alot of worn parts on each.

Thanks again for the chance.

I briefly got to own one of your beauties, but I let it slide away. Never again.

I'd love to get one to keep this time.

Thanks for the chance.

While I am still new here, I hope I may be included in this most generous offer of yours. Like I've posted before, I have fairly recently been re-infected by the Traditional Knife disease. In my early days on re-infection, I was looking through the several threads here. While doing so, I stumbled upon a pattern, and several stunning examples of it. That pattern is the Lanny's Clip, and it spoke to me. Loud. Very loud. So loud, in fact, that I was fearful that my wife may have heard.

Now, I am not yet an owner of a custom folder. It may very well be a while before I am lucky enough to, but I can say that an LC will be mine one day. It will be the perfect companion while I am pursuing Whitetail

Rick,

Thank you for the opportunity, currently, this knife is getting the most belt time when I am out fishing or hiking, I am really liking 3V steel !

Thanks for your generous offer to the BladeForums community.
I started off collecting handmade tacticals during the mid to late 90's boom when I worked at a boutique gunstore that sold high end blades. But in my older years now I like the simpler traditional knives. I'm way more sensible now with more self control due to more responsibilities and cant afford a huge custom collection like I once had.
You were the first maker I noticed on this forum using more modern steels and those beautiful full micarta scales with stainless liners. But I decided to start slow.
I ended up getting a less expensive, lighter, non liner front pocket shadow by newcomer GENE WISEMAN, whom I'm sure you're familiar with. I feel the next logical step would be one of your fine specimens as a "more refined companion" to my utilitarian first slippie.
A free one as a prize would be incredible, but regardless, I will one day posses one of your fine knives.
Here's a pic of my Wiseman in orange G-10, it's a great light well made custom knife but it's lonely and really needs a cousin in micarta ;-)

Thank you so much for this very generous giveaway. I have always admired your work, and I would love to make one of your's my new favorite, sadly I don't yet have a custom slipjoint, However, my favorite production knife, is my GEC #56 in primitive bone, I really like the ergos, and the bone is very unique.

I'd love to see either a similar big old fat pattern or a teardrop barlow with your touch.

Good luck to everybody -someone is going to be a happy camper. :)

Thanks again for the chance.:thumbup:

Really an amazing offer from you Rick. Your work is great and the chance to win a knife you make is pretty damn great. So here goes....

My favorite knife is not one that I carry anymore or even use but for the occasional envelope. It's my Dad's old barlow knife (bottom one in the picture) that I found last year a few days before the anniversary of his passing. I'd figured the knife had been lost but just moving some boxes around one day there it was inside one of them. I look at the knife each day when I go through the cabinet to pick what I'm going to carry for the day and think about Dad. I like it to stay as it is, where it is, so that it can be one consistent touchstone to Dad's memory for me.

Thanks again for the chance Rick and it's been great reading through this thread to see everyone's responses.

Thanks for the chance Rick, its a very generous offer. I don't often enter giveaways, but I can't pass this one up. I found one of your knives on the secondary market a while back, but was a little slow pullin the trigger...

I'll post up a few different pictures.

These are my favorites for two reasons. I really like all of them, and they came from other members here...

Now on to the outdoor pictures. We generally have deer around our house every day, and here are a couple of them...

Here is one of my favorite pictures of my son. It was taken when he was 9 years old. It was the first time he shot a pistol. He is now 14 and has become a very good shot...

Found these 3 a year ago starving, flea bitten. They were sick, but came through. I kept 1(and the Mom) and a neighbor adopted 2. I still get to kitty sit them. They are such a joy!
Awesome giveaway Rick! I have enjoyed all the info and images on your knives. One way or another I see a Menefee Made in my future!
Later,
Kev
