I don't know about the long-term effects of Camillus' current condition. But I do expect that the huge "hiccup" in keeping their dealers supplied has created some confusion and uncertainty, not to mention lost sales. This is from General disscussions on best & worst of the year.

Worst of the knife world this year:
Chinese Old Timers
Camillus/Becker shortages
Best:
Canal Street Cutlery's Ring Knife
A couple great designs from Bark River
Lots of great customs in the "For Sale by Makers" forum section

I would agree with the worst of the year. I am not really sure what happened to Camillus, is it still in business? Chinese Schrade Old Timers by Taylor has to be a low in the knife industry.
Now the best, I hope "Bob W" is right about the Canal Street ring knife. I think we picked a good design, anyway I will give you what my opinion is about a month or so.

My guys found 40 Dell boxes that will work just fine.
