Worst of the knife world this year:
Chinese Old Timers
Camillus/Becker shortages

Best:
Canal Street Cutlery's Ring Knife
A couple great designs from Bark River
Lots of great customs in the "For Sale by Makers" forum section

I would agree with the worst of the year. I am not really sure what happened to Camillus, is it still in business? Chinese Schrade Old Timers by Taylor has to be a low in the knife industry.

Now the best, I hope "Bob W" is right about the Canal Street ring knife. I think we picked a good design, anyway I will give you what my opinion is about a month or so.
I don't know about the long-term effects of Camillus' current condition. But I do expect that the huge "hiccup" in keeping their dealers supplied has created some confusion and uncertainty, not to mention lost sales.

The Canal Street Ring Knife is a great knife. Excellent quality, incredibly unusual design, and better materials than their other products. I'm sure you guys will love yours'.

For anyone who missed out on the Forum order (like I did), AG Russell is selling the Ring Opener in stag. Cumberland Knife Works' have the "amber stag bone".

Thank You very kindly Bob W for listing that information of the 'best & worst' knives of the year as I missed that one over at the general knife discussion forum. That information just clarifies for me that we here at the tradition folders and fixed blade forum made a mighty fine decision to go with the ring knife by Canal Street for our selection.. Much obliged.

My box quest is over. :)

My guys found 40 Dell boxes that will work just fine.

Now all I need are the knives.:(

I hear this is what came in the boxes.....
