Photos Metal Monday - Post Your Metal TRADITIONAL Pics

Picked up this unique Robeson last year. Based on tang stamp alone it dates to 1917-1939 although there are a few who believe it to be from the 1950's. I lean towards the later part of the 1930's as it was a high point of art deco styling and also a time when aluminum was considered a premium material. It has aluminum scales and is linerless with an aluminum spacer between the springs with a closed length of exactly 4".

Thinking metal Monday I think Alox, which I carry frequently.
Today, I'm actually carrying an Vic Alox Electrician but I don't have a recent photo of it.
Hence this Farmer photo (taken yesterday) which has not been shown before.

Have a good week all. :)
I carry an Electrician in my bag everyday - I think I have about 2 photos of it! :D ;)

Thanks a lot James, it was the last knife I had from Stan :(

I remember, quite some years ago now, someone recounting how they had bumped into Charlie waynorth waynorth at a knife show, and he was running round trying to find metal-handled knives for me! What a great pal! :) The story touched me as much as the gift of the knives Charlie picked up that day, one of which is this handsome Schrade Penknife :)

I found a couple of mediocre pics of the NY factory on line, Jack, but couldn't find the angle of the representation on your knife!!NY factory 1.jpgNY factory 2.jpg

Thanks for those Charlie, very interesting to see :) I know it is a very different situation, but the first photo kind of reminds me of the smaller River Durolle at Thiers

I think it's safe to say these were a second quality advertiser to the pen knives. They have less detail on the handles and they have flat-backed blades.

This one was probably a second of the second quality knives, if they meant to have rivet-heads on both sides.
