Photos Metal Monday - Post Your Metal TRADITIONAL Pics

Rostfrei Solingen Germany is all it says. I think it must be a centennial reproduction of one made for the Republic of South Africa that won the Boer War. Googling it I could find only the old carbon one. I'd rather it had Charlize Theron on it instead of the bosses of Transvaal and Orange Free State, but it's a beautiful job of maximum blade in minimum handle, and I love how thin it is.
Yes, Jer!! Charlize is a mesmerizing Actor!! Thanks for the info!!

Cool  I like that pattern better than my 74

How cool to see a Dutch Army knife ending up in the USA.

These are from the Cold War era in which yearly thousands of young men were drafted for Military duties.
Second half of the eighties they switched to Victorinox until approximately 1995 when the drafting ended.

Yours is in a very good shape :)

I see that I've only posted in this thread once, almost a year ago.
I'll resolve to try to post each Monday until my metal knife holdings are exhausted.
My first Metal Monday contribution of 2022 isn't even a knife in the sense that it doesn't have a cutting blade. It's a Richards pipe tool I found at a flea market in Michigan's Upper Peninsula:

Here's a pic of the box, in case you want more info (e.g., the blade has "a perfect balance between hardness and suppleness", so I've got that going for me!):

Nice to see that one again my friend, but with respect, I don't see any mention of 'health embroidery'!! 🤣 😜 ;)

😁 🤓
I think it goes without saying that "health embroidery" will never occur because of the "fascination and enthusiasm" generated by "the combination of classic and fashion."

Your Marine Corps Camillus is admirable, Jack!:thumbsup::cool:

I wish I knew Japanese.
I have a higonokami just like that, except black handle, and I assumed that all the characters represented the Japanese ceremonial expression for "Oil the Joints." 🤓
