I find myself really enjoying this knife, I have always been a sucker for sheep’s foot/ lambs foot/ wharncliffe blades anyway
I was very interested to see that pattern, which is clearly based on the British Army 'Burma Knife' produced towards the end of WW2 I think. Like the original, it looks like a really useful work knife, and probably has better steel. When I tried to find one here, a couple of weeks ago, it had sold out, but I'll definitely be picking one up

Jack Black, I got my Marbles Clasp Knife today. Seems to be well made, half stops on both the blade and can opener, although I cannot see it in the photo, the knife itself has the screw driver built into the frame of the knife. I think it is stainless steel, but not marked and of course made in China. The Markings for Marbles and China seem to be etched into the blade, you can feel it with your finger nail. I carried a modern day "Burma Knife" for several years and it served me well. My only disappointment with this one is it is only about 2/3rds the size of the original. The handle is about 3 1/8 inches long (80mm) the blade about 2 3/3 inches long (60mm). Still seems to be good value for the price. John

Hi John, I'm glad you got one 🙂Extending the web into a screwdriver has a long history on Sheffield knives, and is a pretty good feature I think. It's a shame they're now etching the Marbles knives, I'd noticed that with the last one I bought, even though the dealer"s photos omitted it. Previously the 'China' could almost be wiped off! I came across a Thompson 1954 Burma Knife on the market yesterday, but both springs were broken unfortunately. I often see a broken spring on Burma knives, but two is unusual! Thanks for the info on the size John, it's a shame the Marbles knife is smaller, as I think the original is a great size for this type of knife. I'll definitely pick one up when they're back in stock here though (though they're quite a bit dearer). I hope it serves you well my friend 👍

Another Alox SAK from me this week. This one is a black Pioneer (apologies if I posted it in this thread before), peeking out of a sheath I "found" in the webbing of an old baseball glove I tore apart several years ago.
