Photos Metal Monday - Post Your Metal TRADITIONAL Pics

When I first saw your post, Kevin, I thought, "Hey, he's got one of those Rough Rider brass cowboy knives that I've looked at for years and finally bought one. Cool!" But then I noticed that yours had a spearpoint blade, while my RR has a spey. It also seemed like the designs on your handle seemed to be cast much more clearly/distinctly than those on my RR. And then I finally noticed the tang stamp on your knife, and realized that my RR is just a shameless rip-off of an older knife. Any idea how old your knife is? Was Jaeger (?) Bros. a Wisconsin cutlery company? I think that's what I'm seeing on the tang.

My all-metal knife this week is a copper Böker Plus Atlas I've had for almost a year, and it's been in my pocket almost that whole time, even though I haven't officially named it a literal EDC. I always carry it in this pocket sheath, one of two that Jeremy generously sent me a couple of months before I got the knife shown.

Like that Western Demo knife. I did not know Western had a contract for them. I have one made in 1986 by Queen. Can opener and screw driver are impossible to open with just your fingernail. I have to open the blade so I can grab the can opener with a multi plier to pull it open. John

The western dates from 1975. The Army Reserves gave it to me before I was sent to Basic. They did not want it back when I was sent home with an honorable "forever" (or at least for this lifetime 🙄) unwanted by me medical discharge. ☹️
I did not notice the Western tang stamp until 2016. I just "presumed" it was a Camillus. 🙄
