I asked because I was wondering if you had the same Thoughts I do about my Micarta bolstered Bokers. It seems you do.I like it a lot. Its a good sized knife length wise, but its so thin and light it carries really well, even in shorts. Its plenty rigid for anything I'm likely to do with it. If its not, I probably should be using a different tool altogether
I carried it to the dentist today and forgot it was there.
All that said, I liked it so much I bought the titanium version. Its a little heavier, but still very light. It does have a more "solid" feel, but anything I'm likely to cut with it, I could cut with the micarta just as well. As an ex cyclist I remember the early titanium bicycle frames. I never got one of those, but I got a titanium knife View attachment 1639478

Thank you my friend. Another example of Northwoods creativity.Gorgeous knife James, love that burlap Micarta.![]()
I think I have about four, counting my borderline traditional Utica Survival Knife. I must not have been buying knives during micarta's greatest vogue. My two micartas for today....
It's like how you get to Carnegie Hall. Practice!I hadn't looked over this thread in a while, so went and viewed the last ten pages. Some excellent photography skills and some great knives. I wish that I had the photography talent that is displayed so well very often here.
The patina is coming right along, looks great. Totally agree with you about Micarta my friend. It will do the dirty work and still look nice dressed up a bit!
Great knife!
Thanks John. Boy, that’s a tough call. I really like both of them. They both have impeccable construction and use beautiful materials. I have, 2 Clubs and one Swell End, I think I’d give a slight nod to the Club. The Swell End has N690 steel and I like the carbon steel on the Club. Also, the action is a little better on the Clubs than the Swell End. Can’t really go wrong with either. They’re wonderful knives.Great knife!
I'm thinking of ordering a new Boker soon.
Would you recommend the Club or the Swell End? Both are on the top of my list.
