It's Micarta Monday here...
Buck 527 called "The Treasury" in white micarta. The color makes me think of Westinghouse micarta.

Anyone know where Buck sourced their micarta?

The dark blade tip is a reflection of an overhead tree branch in the first photo and a shadow (?) in the second, just a coincidence.
Have a great week all!
Yes Barrett, they are nice little knives! Kind of classy and pretty micarta. I'd say a gentleman's knife except Buck has the 525 they call the "Gent". Not too much about them even in the Buck forum but what's there is worth looking at. Cool that yours was inherited, makes it a treasured Treasury.Nice little knives, aren’t they? I don’t think I’ve seen many of them posted here (maybe they’re more common over in the Buck subforum, but I’ve only stopped in there once or twice). Mine belonged to either my grandpa or my dad, I honestly can’t remember how or when it became “mine,” but I’ve had it for years. I do love the Micarta on it.

Here it is in different lighting.

Edited to add: I could’ve sworn that a while back I had come across some sort of advertisement or catalogue page for the 527 Treasury, but I can’t seem to locate it.![]()
Can you tell us who made the pterodactyl blade? I'm a sucker for pocket sized fixed blades.
Oops, late night posting, didn’t mean to post the sawcut in here. Can you tell us who made the pterodactyl blade? I'm a sucker for pocket sized fixed blades.![]()
Thanks for the info. Or should I say, "Oh no! Another fantastic way to spend money."?Oops, late night posting, didn’t mean to post the sawcut in here.
The fixed blade is a Tactical Pterodactyl. Great little knife. There are monthly drops that sell out fairly quick, you can sign up for email alerts on the site.
