Good evening - Just got back from being out, sorry for the delay.
I'm going to answer a couple issues that have been brought up.
1. Michelle - the email states banned from searching. When I wrote the email, I'd gotten a "you don't have permission" error. This turned out to my login not being kept, not because my profile was banned from Badlands.
I have not been banned from Badlandsforums.com, that statement is true. Unfortunately, though, I have been banned from searching on TacticalForums.com (my address is banned) and USN. The mistake was 100% mine. Since this thread isn't about answering commenting on (then) private emails between myself and Mad Dog, and since it was an honest mistake on my part that I freely admit I was incorrect about, I trust this little derail is over.
2. To the "crew" who has apparrently arrived over here to
save the day from elsewhere... the day I feel bad about people who never post here saying they aren't coming back will be the first one. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
If you cannot refute the claims I've made, and are trying to distract from them, then I'm going to presume that you admit my statements are true. Just to make it clear, I am stating that the claims made by Mick Strider do not reconcile with the facts.
- I have never heard of a person discharged as an E1 (the lowest rank in the military), with a self professed damaged spine, being admitted to any form of US government Special Operations capacity. I find it extremely difficult to believe that a former E1, with a self professed "shitty attitude," a bar from reenlistment, and a damaged spine, would be recruited for any non-governmental Special Operations capacity. If you doubt that, I suggest you check the requirements for working at BlackWater.
- I have certainly never heard of a convicted felon being granted a SECRET or above clearance, which is a requirement for any Special Operations capacity position. This negates any claims that Special Operations service was done post 1993.
- Anyone who claims they were to be sentenced to Somalia instead of prison for carjacking is a flat out liar.
- Mick Strider states that he is a combat vet. He has yet to provide any documentation showing any combat service, anywhere, let alone while working for the US Government in any capacity. This sort of service is easily backed up by public records, and records available through FOIA requests.
- Mick Strider claims others falsified his military history. I am stating flat out that I believe he's done the falsification, outright and through lies of omission.
If you cannot refute these claims, everything else
is window dressing and an attempt at misdirection on your parts. To use Michelles words, let's move on to an "argument with merit"
3. I welcome any
verifiable corrections to the statements I have made. If I am wrong, I will come out and say so. If Mick Strider thinks any statement I've made is actionable in a court of law, by all means he may take action legal action against me. Considering that he's already had to settle one lawsuit based on the falsehood of his claims, I'm not worried about the outcome of any others. I've been very careful about what statements I've made publically regarding this matter, and am only making claims that I can back up with proof.
If anyone feels they can disprove anything I've stated, state your case clearly and I will address it.
4. The day I feel
shame for calling a liar out on lies he's made and has yet to retract will be the day I stop being a man. If you support someone who lies, who's lies are
easily proven, and who
continues to lie even in the face of proof, and who
refuses to provide any information backing up their claims, then that speaks volumes not only on your own credibility, but moral character as well.
I'll go one step further - I have little use for people who
know for a fact someone is making claims based on lies and outright fabrications, lying about their service to their country, and profiting off the
stolen valor of men who
died in service, and yet
remain silent or allow such falsehoods to be spread further. Doing so tells me they support such behavior, and that they find it acceptable.
I started this thread with a direct quote from Mick Strider saying he feels people should be held accountable for their words and actions.
I have provided liberal quotes from Mick Strider regarding combat service, firearms use, his Somalia "plea bargain", and his military history.
I have yet to see a single rebuttal to the statements I've made from him since I've posted this thread.
I will say again, if anyone can document that any claim regarding Mick Strider is false,
grab your sack, step forward, and say so. Display the intestinal fortitude to stand by your words and be judged accordingly. I have, and thus far I've had my motives questioned, my business threatened, my credibility questioned, my integrity questioned, and am still here; because no one has been able to prove me wrong.
Mick Strider is not banned from this site - if you view his profile, it says "Registered User" - I welcome him to make any rebuttals here, since he's made so many contradictory claims here as well.
I'm going to close this out with the Ranger Creed.
Consider those words, and then consider Mick Strider's actions.
