I just had short pop up on YouTube of a knife that looked like a Survive 4 (like the one I paid for and never got) but now they're called Micron Knives. Now they're in Harrisburg and not Gettysburg. Same knives, same sheathes, hell it even looks like the same black shop dog. The web site is the same format. You pick the steel, scales, sheath. Did Guy take our money and just get plastic surgery? Does anyone know if this is a real place or just another scam Guy came up with?

Has anyone actually got one that's not a paid YouTube shill? Not that I'm bitter or anything. I still think it's the best design out there, but I'll never order another knife that's not from a major manufacturer again. I'm the dumb fuck that bought into the survive story, and thought they were finally turning the corner. You guys were right, I should have listened.

Sorry you got burned by survive, glad to hear you come around to agree with those of us who tried to bring their thievery to light. From what I have seen, the micron guys looks ok. They are responsive and people I know on here have received their knives. I don't know of a single bad report on them.

not same company. its not guy the lying crook. its an actual family owned machine shop company, that bought tooling and such from guys unpaid creditors.
they are making knives now. I have 2 of the mk4. great knives. fit and finish and heat treat are really good. owners is a nice fella and participates here. he bought left over sheaths from the sheath maker who guy never paid for the order. he also took in guys dawg who I guess he abandoned or was gonna abandon...when he fled.

From what the owner of micron says, he isn’t and won’t do pre-orders. The knives he shows on his website are said to be in stock and ship soon. JB posted pic of his knife on the Micron Sub forum that he received. I’d feel comfortable ordering an in stock knife from him if I wanted an MK4. I may be tempted by the MK3 they’re gonna run next, if it’s a nice design.

I've been following the Micron thread, everything seems wholesome to me. Saying that, I have zero understanding of Survive! and it's history outside of him going under and ripping folks off.
Is micron offering the same models as survive? I know he acquired the machinery. Didn't know about the sheaths and the dog.
I don't doubt his story but wouldn't that be absolutely wild.

He bought out the machinery, dog, mop bucket and a bunch of their older stuff, including blanks, materials, handle scales, etc and reverse engineered the fixtures and stuff to remake the parts to make some of their designs. He posted the new building they are in and getting things up and running. He contacted the company that made the sheaths for Survive! and bought the sheaths that they had for them so the company could sell what they had; I think he did the same for some of the hardware pieces, too, so they could sell what they had and he can do some warranty work. They are doing some of the same models that Survive! made since people liked them so much, hopefully they do some new designs in the future!

Micron essentially bought a foreclosed house from a bank. You can’t get mad at them because you were screwed over as a neighbor by the previous owner. They are essentially fixing the house up and attempting to do the best they can with the situation they inherited.
Give them some time to earn your trust I’m sure they will. It seems to me they are in this for the long haul and trying to do right in the best way they can.

Hi everyone, I'm Jack, the owner of Micron Knives.
I am sorry to hear that you were bit by survive. I literally hear similar stories every single day.
The short version is that we are not Survive! under a new name, and Guy is not involved with Micron Knives, and I am not the recipient of plastic surgery. We purchased survive's equipment to increase capacity at our machine shop in Harrisburg, which is my full time job. I started Micron Knives as we have all the specialized equipment and manufacturing background to do it the right way.
I believed in the designs, so rather than letting them disappear, we chose to continue manufacturing them while we develop our own products. The MK-4 is a reverse engineered GSO-4. We purchased sheaths from the same people who made sheaths for survive. We intend to make the MK-4 and any other models we introduce for many, many years. The website took an insane amount of work and I am very proud of it, but I have no way to compare it to the survive site. The goal of the site was to integrate well into our inventory system so it is impossible to buy a knife with components that are out of stock and unable to ship immediately.
As for YouTube, we have sent a handful of knives out for review. We didn't ask anyone to say nice things, only to give their honest opinions. If they hated them, that would have been their review. I am happy to say that the MK-4 outperformed the GSO-4 in the nail test (please dont chop nails it hurts to watch).
I do have Olive, the shop dog. If I can give any credit where credit is due, rehoming her was for her best interest. She is well taken care of and surrounded by tons of love. See the Micron thread on doggie pics.
Please remember that we made our first sale only 16 days ago, so while it may seem like no one has gotten their knife besides youtubers, we have shipped out every single order in less than one business day. If anyone has questions about who we are or how we got here, I'm happy to answer them. I'd much rather be judged by how we operate than by what happened before we existed.

btw op Ive gotten 2 mk4s. proof in the micron forum as i posted pics. ordered and had delivered to me in a few days. 2 separate orders too. so far Jack's been nothing but a straight shooter and good man......
