Micron Knives...is it Survive???

It's my understanding that with divorce proceedings, foreclosures and possible fraud charges looming Guy skeedadled not only out of the area but out of the country ( supposedly), leaving everybody including the dog holding the proverbial bag of IOUs.
He was crashing on people's couches and in his car, pretty sure he couldn't afford plastic surgery.

they are making knives now. I have 2 of the mk4. great knives. fit and finish and heat treat are really good. owners is a nice fella and participates here. he bought left over sheaths from the sheath maker who guy never paid for the order. he also took in guys dawg who I guess he abandoned or was gonna abandon...when he fled.

As for YouTube, we have sent a handful of knives out for review. We didn't ask anyone to say nice things, only to give their honest opinions. If they hated them, that would have been their review. I am happy to say that the MK-4 outperformed the GSO-4 in the nail test (please dont chop nails it hurts to watch).

I do have Olive, the shop dog. If I can give any credit where credit is due, rehoming her was for her best interest. She is well taken care of and surrounded by tons of love. See the Micron thread on doggie pics.

Please remember that we made our first sale only 16 days ago, so while it may seem like no one has gotten their knife besides youtubers, we have shipped out every single order in less than one business day. If anyone has questions about who we are or how we got here, I'm happy to answer them. I'd much rather be judged by how we operate than by what happened before we existed.

Survive Knives were never on my radar so I have no idea what went on, but I will say that just for being a decent human being and rescuing the dog, I’ll certainly be looking into your products in the future. Thanks for stepping up. 🙏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
 
I ordered a Survive 5.1 from Micron. It’s exactly what they say it is. An old, previously manufactured model with an appropriate sheath. No Survive packaging. It compares quite favorably to the Survive GSO 8 I also have, which came directly from Survive while they were still in business. I will forever be unhappy that I paid twice for one knife (the 8 and 5.1 were originally ordered during COVID times and I only received the 8). But I am happy the designs will live on, and I can report that from payment to delivery this process with Micron took about 1 week.

Thank you for taking to the time to respond. I probably have one of the first GSO4's Guy made when they were here in Gettysburg the first time around. So I had a lot of time invested in Survive. I talked to Guy a couple of times over the years. He always said the right things, bringing more parts of the operation in house, wanting perfection, turning the corner. I bought into the story, and thought how great it would be to do something like that. Working for yourself, doing something you liked. Well we all know how that turned out.

Throw in Bark river...now I have a bunch of Bravos that are junk too. To say I'm a skeptical at this point is an huge understatement! Good luck with your new company.

Your lot does seem wholesome, which is exactly what is needed after a the stench guy left.

Just the up front investment has been really impressive.

Hey I totally understand the skepticism. Believe me, when I came into the scene I was astonished at how every time I turned around there was some type of scam or otherwise unscrupulous business practices.

Just give us a shot to show you that we aren't like that! I'm not even asking for your business, just for you to watch us. I appreciate you asking the initial question that started this thread as I'm sure many others are asking the same thing.
