A collaboration was announced with Microtech and CKF a while ago, and as many know, CKF is who use to run the Kevin John clones. Nobody seems to even know about that other collaboration, when I first heard about a Chinese Socom I figured it was the CKF one and was a bit surprised to see a different Chinese Microtech.
Disappointing? Absolutely… But I will just buy their American line instead. Plenty of companies like Spyderco, Benchmade, and Kershaw have a “budget” line made in China and there isn’t as much rage.
I agree for the most part, but at $325 it ain’t exactly “budget” material. Isn’t that damn near right at what a real USA made Socom costs?
This is a huge fail in my eyes. They’re diluting their own brand for pennies.
Except Pakistan, North Korea and Iran.Chairman Xi must be delighted. Don't buy anything from Communist China -- they are no one's friends.
Take a look at the new $650 belt they released
To each his own and I'm not into OTFs but the LUDT is a great knife imo, they also have the Service Personnel Program for Vets, Law Enforcement and 1st Responders which I appreciate. My favorite thing about Microtechs is not buying them.
And I appreciate that, but Medford & Emerson provide a somewhat similar program. To each his own and I'm not into OTFs but the LUDT is a great knife imo, they also have the Service Personnel Program for Vets, Law Enforcement and 1st Responders which I appreciate.
If Medford does I certainly couldn't find it, I did finally pull the trigger on a Slim Midi off the Exchange and again appreciated your feedback on Medford knives. Emerson does but unfortunately, well not really unfortunately I'm a retired Vet and Emerson only offers Active Duty members a discount, which I'm still thankful for that as well. And I appreciate that, but Medford & Emerson provide a somewhat similar program.
It's en route should be here tomorrow.
