mike maniord knives

I still hope that I eventually get my karambit, but at this point, Ive basically written that money off as a loss. Its a shame, cuz I could probably get 2 customs from another maker for the price, but his knives are so fantastic.
 
I am surprised to hear this about Mike. He made me a giant WSK in April of this year. I sent him half down and although he was about four weeks off with his delivery date I got the knife and he kept the lines of communication open throughout the process.Hate to see a decent maker take a turn for the worse. Kind of like a Jack Crain story in the making.Jack still has $750.00 of my money but that is a story for another thread. (and there are plenty of them).
 
Hello to all of You, Knife Lovers! I boughted two Maniord´s Karambits three years ago via EBAy and I sincerely love them! So, it was natural for me to ORDER THREE CUSTOM MADE KARAMBITS nearly two years ago, payed for them immediately and NEVER GOT THEM! For a year and a half, this con artist gave me so many excuses : 1) Nearly Bankruptcy. 2) Ex-Wife passing away in a car accident, with teenage son hurt. 3)Problems with a Cousing of him helping in his shop and beeing a lasy ass. 4) Having "Confussed" my order when months earlier toll me that the knives were finished! 5) Rise in costs of S&H! and I think there are more, but don´t remember them.

He´s a person that should be in jail.

I Lost $400 dls to a nasty human being! Do not do the same, don´t buy any of his products!

Has anybody been able to get hold of him. I leave him several messages a week. I have sent dozens of emails. I have yet to hear from him. Does anybody have any thoughts on how we can track him down? I really want my money back and moreover I had a large piece of CPM10V drop shipped to him for the knife he was supposed to make me. Maybe he ended up going to jail. I hope all of the folks he wronged continue to pursue this issue. Don let this guy screw you over!

My knife shop at this time consist of a 4'x4' table with my grinders on it In the back yard.*
I could tell a long story that may make you all feel sorry for me and grant me some forgiveness but there will be those that don't give a crap about ones circumstance they just want their product and that's what we all want in the end *our product and our promise made.*

I'm going to make a valiant effort at completing my orders and my promises while rebuilding my life and my sons life at the same time.

I just happened to check this thread. Mike you still owe me the Bolo made out of the CPM10V. I am going to email you to get an ETA and new contact info. Why have you been unreachable by phone?

Sent you an email yesterday. You have not replied. I am not impressed so far. Please contact me asap. You have had my money and $200 dollar piece of CPM10V since October of 2010.
 
Ahhh I'm not the only one huh? Returned a Karambit about a year ago for a face lift, got a few emails with excuses back. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH HIM. mike
 
Wow, you have a 4x4 table in your back yard that you call a "shop", did you happen to disclose this to your customers before money/knives started to change hands?

Of course you didn't but had they rubbed their crystal balls (in private of course) they would have known that there would be delivery issues because most makers have similarly constructed shops..............

I think there should be a rule that to be called a knifemaker one has an actual knifemaking shop, one with at leasxt four walls, a floor, a roof and a power outlet or two!!!

Bathrooms are optional!!
 
Took my money for a WSK over a year ago and never heard from him again other than for him to give excuse after excuse. Never even got my money back. Would never recommend this POS to anyone.
 
I sent Mike my info again twice and he said he had my knife. I stupidly believed him again.......I'm still waiting. It has been over a year since I paid him $275. Does anyone live near him or does anyone want to take a trip down to Siloam Springs, AR? I have thought about it more than once. I'm not sure he still lives there or I just might do it.
