Send me an e-mail & I will help you out with a sheath I have a Plan B in house.

I have received no reply from my Certified Return Receipt letter that I sent over 2 weeks ago. At the end of the week I'm filing a mail fraud complaint with the USPS.

Gentlemen,
I"m not here to stir up trouble so take this for what it is worth. Every 3 to 4 months I see someone post negative about him. I'm not here to condim or condone it. Mike Sastre makes one heck of a sheath. It did take me over 1 yr to get my sheaths however and I was deployed during that year. I personally went to his residence to pick up them from him whilie I was on leave. He's a very likable man who lives and eats like everybody else. If making sheaths isn't rocket science, then everybody would be doing it. I have also had Eric make me a sheath and his work is top notch and you won't go wrong with him either. Yes, I got frustrated with the wait and yes I got his answering machine many of times. I'm sympathetic about the long wait and my hopes is that you get your sheath. Mike attends a lot of blade shows and is on the road to advertise his product. He works abnormal hours so calling him at 2 AM wouldn't be out of the question. I hope this helps!!

IF WAR IS HELL, TAKE A BETTER PITCHFORK THAN THE DEVIL

PS, I'm glad you got your sheath (after a year), and more imporantly, thank you for Serving. My issue with Mr. Sastre is not about the quality of his product - by all accounts he makes a good sheath.

My issue is with Mr. Sastre's lack of communication and the length of time he takes to make a sheath. Now I would have been a little more patient if Mr. Sastre had communicated with me in ANY way once he received my money and knife, or even communicated a realistic delivery time at the outset. I have tried to email him, contact him via internet discussion forums, and have tired his phone. By the way, his phone is on "announce only", so you can't even leave a message last time I checked. And frankly, I shouldn't have to call someone at 2am and "track him down".

I'm glad he's a nice guy - but that doesn't excuse his atrocious business practices. Maybe he should spend less time at blade shows and more time making the sheaths he's already taken money for.

Mike is a member of this forum and was logged on within the last couple of weeks. You would think he has seen the threads about him.

Mr. Sastre received my Certified Letter on July 29th. He responded to an email I sent to him yesterday that he would send out my money and knife at the beginning of the week. He also said the sheath was finished, and he would send that out instead if I wanted it. I replied that I would prefer the sheath.

Let's see if I get the sheath next week.

I was supposed to have got mine by the end of the week back in January, and again by the end of the week in April. This is August, still no sheath.

Good Luck!

I received my sheath and knife today. Mr. Sastre does nice work, but I would not recommend him. After 7 months of absolute no communication from him, a certified letter from me, and an email that threatened to register a complaint with the Postal Service concerning mail fraoud, I finally got a response and quick action. Mr. Sastre did apologize for the inconvenience as well.

No way to run a business.

Still waiting. Anyone want to bet that I'll still be waiting in August 2010?

Yeah, you will still be waiting, and folks will still be saying that its 'worth the wait' and mike is busy and what a good guy he is.

Should I try to call him again?
Yah, but I'd call him collect if'n I were you...No reason why you should spend anymore money on this, unless it's to file a civil lawsuit in Small Claims Court.
