Even among the tactical cognoscenti, I don't think that either Blackwood or Snody knives will stand the test of time(over say, 5 years or so).

For the money, you are much better off with a Dozier, Mayo, John W. Smith, Terzuola or even a Chris Reeve product. The makers that I just mentioned will hold value more readily and reliably in the long run.
Best Regards
I disagree. Mike Snody has a great eye for innovative design. So maybe his knifes aren't optimized for stabbing through a human skull or severing arteries while jumping out of a helicopter. But is that what knives are supposed to be about? Mike takes chances with his designs, he's pushing the envelope of what's acceptable and that is a good thing. That can not be said of Dozier or Chris Reeve. (Every Dozier knife I've ever seen, though very well made, looks exactly like a Loveless)
I think Snody's knives are great. I can't afford one of the customs, but I have a Benchade Gravitator and I like it a lot. People have given me crap over it, saying "that thing looks weird" but I like the way it looks and it functions perfectly- cuts what you put in front of it every time. And it adds a little variety to my knife drawer.
