Mini Grip Vs. Delica?

If spydercos weren't so DAMN UGLY I'd say go with that one.

How does the appearance of a knife affect its function?

Neither knife fits my hand very well. The Mini-grip is too small and the Delica has contours in the wrong places for my grip. Both are well executed designs for people with hands that fit the size of the knives.

Then there is also the regular Griptillian and the bigger version of the Delica: the Endura.

The Mini Grip and Delica are both little brother versions of different knives! So if you want bigger, the option is available ;)

Tried each and they're great knives, but I found my way to ones that suited me better. OP didn't seem interested in them though.

I don't understand the handle of the E4/D4. I can't comfortably fit two finger in the first cut-out, which means I can't get a four finger grip on the Delica and the grip on the Endura places to blade too far from my hand.

that question of the mini grip and the delica is like the Mustang vs. the Camaro, id go for the Camaro but the guy next to me would go for the Mustang. I like my Delica alot.

Funny, I'm going to Las Vegas this week and decided I was only going to take one knife (not including an SAK and a multi-tool). It came down to the Delica and the Mini Grip. I'm taking the Delica.

Having both, I much prefer the griptilian. The blade shape cuts better for me (maybe due to the grind too). The spyderhole also occasionally catches whatever material I'm cutting. The Grip's slim and rounded profile sits better in the side pocket than Delica's wide and flat shape. Both locks are rock solid, but the AXIS is much smoother when WAVE-modded.

What's m2 steel?

Is it like d2?

Harder, softer what?
M2 was a special run that benchmade used for some knives. My Ritter Mini grip has it.It is very hard and holds an edge very well.I don't think bencmade has any more M2..

I love the Ritter Blade. I have a full sized Grip that is one of my top 3 EDC and would love to pick up a mini ritter when i get more moonie.

the Axis lock is awesome.

Mini grip.

Heres why, better ergos, better lock, much smoother operation, more options available and because being able to open and close a knife one handed matters to me.

???

I can open and close any Spyderco, lockback or any other of their locks, one handed, blindfolded, and behind my back while upside down underwater.

Ergos: I like my Delica's and have no problem with it, but I can see where some people might.

Lock: Axis

Smoother: Grip, because of Axis

Options: How do you mean the Grip has more options? The Delica has wave/no wave, PE/PS/SE, 4-way clip positioning, and different colors. As far as I know, the Grip has no factory option for the Wave, PE/PS, 2-way clip, different colors, and I guess thumb studs/holes/diamonds... I guess that's kind of even.

A Delica can be opened and closed with 1 hand, but closing would definitely be slower on the Delica.

Mini-Grip or Delica? The answer is yes.

For me, it depends on the variations:

G-10/full flat ground Delica = Mini Ritter
Delica Wave > Mini Grip (154cm)
D2 Mini Grip > Regular Delica 4
154 cm Mini Grip = Regular Delica
Fully Serrated Delica > Combo Edge Mini Grip

Have several of each, including D4 ZDP189 and an M2 Ritter Mini-Grip.

The one that is still part of my EDC is an old ATS55 D3.

If I had to pick one? Not sure I could, but I would probably go with a D4. I like the light weight of the D3 but the D4 is a more refined knife. Or maybe I'd stick with the Ritter Mini-Grip...or...maybe keep at least one of each? ;)
