Mini Hammer-In

Howzit Friends?

All well here. Just a handful of days to go before leaving for the mainland. Thanks to forum friends, craigslist and eBay, I've got materials, tools and equipment waiting for pickup when I get there and/or shipping in from all points of the compass. With IG's help, especially with putting a forced-air propane forge together, I might actually get to have some fun knife making while hanging out at my folks. All I'll have to figure out is how to get it all back to Hawaii for my high school black- and metal-smith classes.

QUESTIONS
  • Any of you use or know anyone in the NE area with a tire hammer? I ordered the plans and would like to meet one close up.
  • Where can I get quench oils there?
  • Where can I get good leather and supplies there, or should I ship stuff in from someplace?
  • Any of you got extra propane tanks for sale?
Can hardly wait to meet and work with y'all....and with IG's Big Bertha!

I got my 100# propane tanks from Lowe's they were around $80.
I got my Parks 50 oil from Darren.
Leather check Ebay and Tandy.

Wa..Wa..Wally, it's pretty hard to bring the neighborhood down since you've been living there, but, I'll help bring it down another notch :D
 
The time is growing near. Fabulous Phil said that he will be here a few days earlier so he can get the mattress on the second floor. :D:cool:;)
 
IG, I will try to make it. I have a bowie I'm working on and I am looking for some imput.... BTW hows the finger????
 
All you guys that are coming in early, I have a refrigerator, gas stove , washer and dryer in my second floor apartment. So you can bring food, beers and etc. with you, also bring your own towels too.:D;)

Just a little over a week.:thumbup::thumbup: Will be looking for volunteers to pickup the donuts and ice. I'll have a big pot of coffee going around 7:00am.;)

If I can get Kook's A$$ down here early enough, we'll stop and pick up donuts and bring ice, I'll let you know later :jerkit:
 
The extend weather forecast for Saturday, is calling for the 3 H's with a temp near 85 by the shore and inland 90 to 95.:eek:Be prepared to sweat.:D
 
I was really looking foreward to this. As of now, my job has cut the hours down to 25 a week. I am currently looking for another job. I hate to cancel at such a late time. I am sorry. IG. You say that someone can stop by on Saturdays. I may have to take you up on that, if the offer is open. Have fun.
