The dealer in question did have them if you run a search on their site. They have the one with santos wood handles accidentally listed with the same title as the Fat Carbon one, neither have pictures yet. The santos wood handled one is correctly described in the details and listed at $162.83, the Fat Carbon one is $176.99, which was a sufficiently small difference that I just bought two of them. Killer deal compared to $299.95 at the headquarters of edges, where the base black G10 model is even more expensive at $189.95 than the Fat Carbon one at the dealer in question.

I called that big online headquarters store this morning and they refunded a portion on the knife and the sheath so I don't feel like I've been ripped off now.

The proportions on this one look pretty good, you get just enough for a full grip. I am looking forward to seeing it in person.

Did they price match or something, or was their pricing messed up?
 
Just went back to BHQ and I see they've markedly revised their pricing. :cool:🤣

Not sure quite what to make of it myself... on the one hand, I'm glad it's cheaper, but on the other hand, I bought two from the other dealer because it seemed like such a good deal, but if all the main dealers were just going to drop their prices in the end, I probably would have bought from GPK or BHQ. Although.. the Chicago place didn't charge tax, so that was nice.

The Chicago site has equal return policy, if everything goes well now you have a new proven vendor to shop at?

Probably not, took them two days to make a shipping label, and it hasn't been scanned yet.

I try to stick with DLT, but they don't carry MKM at this point.
 
Thanks for the pictures! How do you feel about it so far?

I am really hoping it ends up being a knife that's roughly equivalent to the Gryphon M10 (Also a Terzuola design), just a smidge smaller and with better materials.

It's a little smaller than the m10. I love the m10. It seems very high quality, pretty much flawless, and feels good in hand. I got no regrets.View attachment 2377856View attachment 2377857
 
Here's all my Terzeulo designed knives. I met him at the Blade Show I believe in the 80's. (I'm old) I actually ordered one of his folders and paid a fortune at the time and waited forever to get it. I was very disappointed in it and gave it to my nephew. He still has it. But I love his fixed blades.View attachment 2377883

If you like a cheap thrill, check out the Terzuola-designed Tamashii by CIVIVI. 9" OAL probably like the one above the MKM in your photo.

Oh, wait. I think we already talked about this one a while back....I asked about the grip tape... (first thought it was a grip option) Still looks great. 👍
