Always one of my favorite threads ..... every single one posted here is definitely drool worthy!

Thats is very different looking Box Elder Lisa !
They all look great, but I think I like the ones on the ends(well really top, and bottom,lol) the best.
 
You are one of the luckiest collectors I know, I'm still looking for that special box elder and you have 4:D. But this one, this one is very very special, congrats.

Beautiful Lisa! I love the bottom one still and of course I would LOVE to have a Mnandi with a fancy pivot, the new one is cool too, they are all awesome!
 
I was talking with someone today about the Bocote/Spirograph Mnandi I bought back in August. That got me thinking. Since then, I have been searching off and on, asking people and generally trying to find out if any other Mnandis were made with the Bocote/Spirograph combo. I really hate to bother the good folks at CRK ... hope they have time to do some research .... just to satisfy my curiosity. I would have figured that I would be able to find some references (image or just chatter) to a Mnandi with both Spirograph and Bocote. So far, nothing. This is the one I have:

At first, I wasn't real thrilled with the grain/coloring of the Bocote. It has since grown on me, and I like it rather well. The Spirograph, on the other hand, really did something for me from the get-go ... especially the way the pattern flowed toward the tip of the blade. Anyway, if anyone has ever seen/heard of another with this combo, please let me know.

Oh .... and judging from another thread. Looks like we can forget about keeping up with the Jones. We need to start keeping up with the Lisanticas ...... I see she has yet another Mnandi inbound!!! No doubt ... it'll be another one we will all drool over!
 
I think that Bocote/Spiro is a keeper! My incoming one is one that I want to carry...so it's not embellished in any way. This one:

Well, I don't now about that! Looks pretty embellished to me! Just think of those natives who carried out the trees through the snake infested jungles of Suriname and other areas of South America so we could be grinning from ear to ear when the valuable inner most sections of the wood are carefully inlaid into our Mnandis!!! I thank them dearly and look forward to every time you post a pic!!
