Mnandi: My latest Obsession

^^^Thanks! I am most likely going to reduce the group by 3 or 4 over the next couple of weeks. Thought this would be a good time to get a group shot.

You must have have a super-wide angle lens to fit all of those beauties in one shot!!! Great collection. I know that there are a few there that I am Jonesing for!!
 
Looking for a nice damascus ivory with a decorated pin for about $300 bucks off what they normally sell for... anyone want to give me theres? :)

Good luck, man. That is not a particularly easy find. It took me two years and a trip to the Blade show to get mine. (knives with decorated pins can only be purchased at shows)

I'm sure you've heard this a thousand times, but if you look to sell the Bertie Rietveld/Snakeskin Damascus Mnandi please let me know.....I'd love to buy her.

WOW, that is quite a collection....!!! I see you have almost as many of the new style as you do the old. I know I asked this in a thread before, but since you obviously have had tons of them, what do you like about the new and old mnandi.....??? I always prefered the older style as thats all I have ever had. The most mnandi I have ever had at one time was 5. I have been mnandi-less for some time now as I traded my last one away towards my current edc large regular sebenza. Gotta get a mnandi again soon, but have been on such a sebenza kick lately, both large and small.

Also, could you do ALL of us a HUGE favor and take a nice group shot of the fronts as we all know the fronts usually have even nicer grain and character.......drooling now.....lol.

I prefer the new clip, indifferent on the new pivot and prefer the old nail nick. Overall I prefer the earlier vintage Mnandis, especially if Damascus is involved. IMO, the newer Damascus lacks contrast. Not to mention how many different patterns were previously available.

It might take a few days but I will take a group shot of the fronts. I find it is hit or miss regarding which inlay has the best grain. Some of my favorites are on the clip-side inlay. Some of my least favorites are on the front-side inlay.
