Moderators, please review and remove this baseless negative feedback.
I have received a malicious, unfair and baseless negative feedback from member RRBRUZEK.
He posted for sale a knife described as new. However, when I received it, it turned out to have neumerous issues which were not mentioned in the for sale ad.
The knife's mammoth covers do not fit with bolsters. scratches on mammoth and the blade, and shield in the mammoth installed quite shabbily. This could not be observed from the photos the way RRBRUZEK took the pictures.
I notified the seller within 15 minutes of receiving the package from the mailman (can be verified from USPS delivery time posted) only to receive a nasty and accusatory response. He has now posted a negative feedback for me.
Please look into this and take appropriate actions to remove this unfair, undeserved and malicious feedback
Thank You,
Victor14

Moderators cannot correct feedback, only Spark can.

First, add a link to the sale thread to your original post here. Second, go to the feedback line. You will see icons in the middle of the line. One of them is a triangle. Click on it and describe your complaint in the box that opens up. This will send a report to Spark.

I posted as new because it was. I supplied the buyer with the orginal receipt of purchase from knoves shop free. I gave him the link to the knives ship free page that describes the Northwoods presidential knife and its blade rub. I did not lie. I supplied several pictures in the for sale thread so the buyer could see before committing . i lost out on other sales because I was an honest seller and sold to the first post that said they would take it. I provided the buyer with Derrick Bohns number so he could address what he saw as fit and finish defect in the knife. Now the buyer has opened a case from his financial institution and claims that it was unauthorized charge and significantly not as describe item. The buyer has also made a negative malicious review on myself as a buyer .

So, how was payment made? And why wouldn't you accept a return?

Seems like at least a part of this thread should now be in the GB&U.

So if you each gave one another bad feedback, then I'd say you guys are even. Seller doesn't want to take the knife back, buyer goes to extremes via his bank or whatever to get the charges reversed. Not exactly an ideal situation. Definitely not how we do things here.

If a buyer is not happy, I thought the deal wasn't done until both parties are? I can't see where it's worth it to refuse a refund. The knife may have very well be brand new, but so what? Why refuse to take it back and be done with it? Seems the resulting hassle is much worse than just agreeing and not dealing with the returning party again.

It's not a written rule, more of an unwritten one that people tend to follow. I agree with you on this regardless. Being too inflexible and not communicating effectively can be a problem in and of itself.

The first two pictures in the listing seem to show scratches on the knife is several places as noted by OP. Same for the Mammoth not lining up with bolster.
Not so sure I would call that knife NIB. Seller should accept knife back and issue refund. Neither party has handled this in the best manner though.

Well, since neither party wants to answer my questions I will just speculate. Seems like the transaction was made with paypal gift. If the OP used paypal as it was intended this whole thing would be a non-issue. The buyer would have his money back and the seller would have the knife back. No transaction thus no feedback. Further, neither member is a a contributing member. They are merely here to buy, sell, and trade. You have got to be wary of people like this. Last, the seller was already on my ignore list for other actions he has had he. I can't remember for what but it was enough for me to put him on my ignore list as a reminder in the future not to transact with him. The buyer will also be going on the list for the same reason.

The knife was described as new. Apparently now, even the seller agrees that the issues with fit and scratches were there BUT he failed to have that in the description. Clearly, he sold it NOT AS DESCRIBED. I immediately contacted the seller upon receipt with the description of issues. He told me to take a hike in a nasty way and refused to take it back or communicate any further, although not sure what further communication would have produced anyway. However, after the nastiness he unloaded on me, no reason for me to talk to him again anyway.
Please tell me what else I could have done here.
As far as not dealing with me, Craytab, its up to you and its fine with me. However, I hope you will at least say what I did wrong or what you would have done differently.
As far as seller, I witheld leaving him any feedback until he left that nasty piece of fiction as feedback for me. After that, I basically was left without a choice but to leave him an honest feedback.

I swear dude you are the most sanctimonious guy on this forum......you must live in a very large house made of steel......yeah, probably glass. I've thrown my share of members in the ignore section, but I swear you'd throw your own mother or wife in there for bringing you the wrong cup of coffee......HOLY CRAP!!! I'm thinking he is a MOD and he doesn't even know it......

How did you pay for the item?

Holy molly.................
It is an unwritten rule--Kind of a "INTEGRITY THING" to refund money if buyer is not happy??????
This is becoming ...a norm lately...
Going to extremes YES EXTREMES to play kiddie games and not act as adults to ""LEAVE NEG FEEDBACK"" without trying to get MODs
involved and hash out the issue(s)
Paying via GIFT if it was done..IS CRAZY in the first place..
Too many of this crap going on as of lately.
Proving too me..WHOM to stay away from.................
I wish you both luck in the resolution..AND most of all..Your time in BF.........

It was paid for with regular Paypal.
The issue here, however, is the unfair and undeserved feedback left for me.
Also, seller took a while to post this negative feedback, probably because he was selling other knives meanwhile and it was obvious that I would have to respond with the truth.
He thinks he is really slick. What a guy.

What is regular paypal?

If you paid with paypal goods as you should have he cannot refuse to take back the knife. You open an item not as described case on him and paypal will have you send the knife back and he will refund your money or paypal will make him refund your money. At this point there is no transaction. If there is no transaction then there can be no feedback. Any negative feedback he left for you would be unjust. You could have appealed to the site owner here and it would have likely eventually been removed and the other guy would have been warned or infracted for leaving retaliatory feedback.

Now, if you used paypal gift or "friends and family" like the seller explicitly asked for in is ad (or +3.5%) you are screwed. He doesn't need to take back the knife. The transaction is complete and the feedback would stand.

Did that all make sense?
