Wow, that Alsdorf is something else. Perfection to my eye.

This redbone lockback Moki hits all the buttons, top notch fit and finish, great edge and just the right size to slip into a rear pocket. Every Moki knife I've handled and just exuded quality, small wonder they manufacture for such brands as Spyderco and Al Mar.

Not sure how I missed this thread, but I like it. I'd say the majority of my knives probably fall into this category. Here are a few:

Here's a lightweight OHTA with modern fibre and wharncliff in a slipjoint package.

Here's one that belongs in this thread.
Ken Erickson 3.5" EDC model.
Love this little guy - super light, superlative craftsmanship, cuts like a laser through anything in its path.

Somebody said walking a thin line. Lanny's Clip, straight up, with a few modifications!

Frame - Waterjet cut Ti with Waterjet Cut Jigging
Blade and Backspring - CTS-XHP Carpenters Steel
Bronze Bearing on Pivot and Teflon Washers
Screw Together Construction

This knife is tough as nails and I use it frequently.

puukkoman -

That is a sweet Erickson. Really like the scalloped micarta.

Definitely one of my all-time favorite fixed blades:

Edit: ok, I just noticed that I posted a pic of this knife a few days ago and totally forgot. My infatuation with this Camp Muk knows no bounds...:D

Give me a traditional with the ability to take out the wobble with a screw and I would be happy. My case peanut is in the "fix-it" box because of the blade play.
Here is my entry. It is a Boker Cox slipjoint. There was a clip but I took it off so it rides in my pocket next to my keys.

Thanks,

mlamb - I sincerely appreciate the kind words. It is one of my favorites. I am pretty good with calling it Traditional. With a Brent Cramer LC for comparison.

So it's really cool--but you *still* haven't told us exactly what it is--who made it? I think the modern interpretation is really interesting, although I wonder whether the texture on the handle wouldn't wear pretty hard on your hand after a while.

A quick size comparison to some "known" knife sizes. Grandad Barlow (S&M), Northfield Sunfish, GEC Scharade #73, and a little Northfield #25 Barlow.
