Modified Production Knives (traditional only)

Philllll - Great work on the RC Pruner! Love the Jatoba wood too.

Brad - Nice work on the Cap Lifter. What type of wood is that?

I wanted to share my first re-handle mod with y'all. This old Robeson pruner started life with jigged delrin covers. I made new thicker stainless liners and decided to keep it a shadow pattern with some Jatoba wood covers.

I got a little too excited and forgot to take a "before" picture before chopping it up. You can see the old delrin covers in some of the photos.

Hey great job on the Robeson, Phil! I personally like the wood handles better. Reminds me of an old A. Field Progress Hawkbill I own! Well done buddy!

Nothing spectacular actually, just turned the blade of my small Douk Douk into a spear/droppoint using only an old file, sandpaper and a lot of elbow grease.
Like the shape better now and there is just enough blade sticking out to pinch the blade open (if my hands are not too greasy or wet that is LOL)
Sorry for the bad pics as I'm getting used to my new smart Phone.

Here's a few I just finished recently.

Before...

After

Here's a 34OT with a new suit.

This last one is a TL-29 mod in Redwood Lace Burl.

All have turned from "run of the mill" to beautiful classics now, Glenn. I really like what you did with the Syracuse knife! That stag and making it a bare end Jack was brilliant!

Thanks! I had already done a mod on that knife once, but it was kind of an average effort, and neither of us really cared for it. The customer took me up on my offer to redo it, I think it's better now.

They all look great Glenn! The hafting of the stag on the Syracuse knife is awesome. You did a fantastic job using a material that, as you know, is tough to get equal on both sides.

All three look splendid to me, Glenn!!:thumbup:
As the neighbor kids say, "You got mad skillz, man!" :D

Especially loved the TL-29 modded knife Glenn - well - they all are great !:thumbup::)

My 2014 BF Stag dye didn't fare so well :o I rehandled in bone that I dyed myself

Primble and Mark, IF we ever have the fun and good fortune of traveling someplace by car, and the three of us are in the backseat (yes a big backseat) I can just see me having to sit on the hump to keep you two apart:D:p
