Mom told me not to ask these questions...

I'm 53 and I like wood for a fixed blade, there's just something about the look of a nice piece of fine wood.

For a slip joint jiged bone or wood.

Modern folder, stainless steel.

I'm early 20s, and I like anything by Ariel Salaverria.
No just kidding (kind of kidding at least- that guy never ceases to amaze me)... give me undyed burl woods if you please. And mokume gane, holy moly.

Over 50...yeah, that's right!

Fixed: canvas micarta (especially for users), desert ironwood, stag

Folders: titanium, G-10 but exotic materials OK

Just under 30, and I go for anything with wood handles. I don't like synthetic materials like G10 or micarta. I suppose I don't fit the trend.

Oh well!

its a proven fact that at a younger age, time progresses as a percieved slower rate

yup, that's true indeed. as a kid a day felt like it never ended, and the older you get the faster the days go by. i think it's something to with neurotransmitters in the brain ( )

on topic: 30 yrs. / G10, and rough Micarta or wood

btw: this thread is weird

28 (and some change)

For my fixed blades I like (1) Micarta or (2) Kraton.

Although I do also like the GV6H handles on my Beckers! The rubber handle on the Ontario ASEK feels interesting.

For my folders I do not have a preference, although I have a few with wood handles that have not held up to well (looks only) and my stainless handle on my Spyderco Harpy is scrathed to hell (oh, well - fun knife w/ full serrations :D !)
