I have often pondered the pattern of older equals natural material preference. I guess in my mind "older" meant to 60 and above crowd...

I'm 37 and I like G-10, micarta, aluminum, titanium, paracord, most all the modern materials. I am not a fan at all of horn or stag antler and not a big fan of wood handles although I admit Bark River has some very appealing and beautiful wood handle materials. I always considered myself "young" as far as part of the knife crowd and attributed that to why I like the more modern materials (I started collecting when I was around 20) but it seems I am starting to pass into the "old" category based on some of the ages listed here! LOL!

I love my chive and I think it's an aluminum handle
I have a BM555 Mini-Grip with Noryl GTX that I can't complain about
I don't often carry my BM 210TK Activator that has a CF handle that just looks so sexxy
but all in all I think I go for function and the form will follow
 
34. Micarta and G-10 are great for strength and durability. Love the way some natural materials look, though.
 
37 and I prefer anything natural - wood, bone, abalone, pearl, stag. I also like classy celluloid patterns on appropriate knives.

All-time favorite is either Cocobolo or Amboyna.

I'm a child of the 50's now in my 50's, my handle material of choice would be stag, with jigged bone next. I don't own any coral, but some like Tiger coral look real interesting.
 
57 and a bit... No rubber, except on dive and saltwater knives.
Really nice woods, G10, Micarta, CF, and pearl. Titanium w/wo G10, textured like Jens Anso does it.
 
I am 39, and will be 40 in January, on the 12th to be exact. My favorite handle material is titanium.

On folder I carry, inorder: jigged bone, stag, pearl.
Seems most who buy slipjoints from me like pearl, espc black lip, and on linerlocked folders mammoth bark ivory, then pearl.
 
41, or I will be in a few weeks, I prefer G10 on my folders, and Japanese style cord wrap on my fixed.

45 and I like micarta and G-10. I just like the variety of colors available and not having to worry about shrinking or cracking.
 
52 years old.
I like g-10, linen micarta, and kraton. I've never tried bone or stag but if it was durable, not slippery, and good looking, I'd give it a try. I hate slippery grips.
 
I am 50.
I like G10 and micarta for EDCs. Natural materials for gents knives, favorite is Cocobolo for now
