In Transit, Arriving Late
Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility.

Arrived at USPS Regional Origin Facility
SPOKANE WA DISTRIBUTION CENTER

I've watched packages get shipped back and forth between distribution centers for 3 days, only to then get sent to cities 50 miles from where I live.

It's a joke.
I used to be able to send letters and packages from MI to FLA in 3 days.
It now takes three days to go from Lansing to Grand Rapids...... that's 45 miles.
Meanwhile Grand Rapids sorting center has equipment they tore out and its just sitting in the parking lot.

Usually I can get a knife from Post Falls to MI in about 5 days.....Or from Mike or Craig. Same thing.

Maybe it's the weather. I read Denver got close to 16 inches of snow last week, and they were expecting 4 to 6.
That's gotta slow stuff down.
Hopefully things will get better.
Tho waiting on a knife is like being a kid on Christmas....... lol.

What they are doing now doesn't work. :D:D:D

It's USPS not USPB.

It’s a beauty and perfect near as I can tell. Flips easier and smoother than any new vantage I’ve ever had. This is the knife I dreamed of back in 2012 when I got my first vantage. Thanks Buck Knives! Well done!

I will say Buck emailed back fast:

I do apologize for the delays. Unfortunately USPS has been experiencing delays due to severe weather conditions. We have also noticed that their tracking information has not been updating on some orders.

It is still too early to determine if the shipment has been lost. If you have not received your package or seen any updates by Next Monday, March 8th, please let us know and we will look into getting a replacement sent out.

Great to hear that the flipping action is improved! You're not the first to mention it. Does anyone know what Buck did to help this?

I've worked on many Vantages, and got them to operate somewhat smoother. Filing a detent ball ramp helps a lot with closing. I've also bent liner locks inward to increase the preload on the flipper tab before it breaks the detent. This can only be done on the older, screwed together liners. I'd still like to see Buck abandon the pin construction liners and bring back the screwed together design again. Also, the phosphor bronze washers' diameter seems too small and I think the Vantage series would benefit from large washers.

Mine was delayed as expected but arrived. It comes in a cute black nylon pouch with a draw string. Nice touch. This is a nice knife. Take a picture while the micarta is new, it will darken with use. Fast and smooth action. Glad to be one of five hundred. Thanks Buck.

micarta can be scrubbed clean like new. so don't worry about gettin it dirty. it will clean up.

That is great to hear and thank you for the pictures.

Did JB personally smuggle the knife across the border?:p:D

naw too far away.....im bout far south as ya can get in this country. plus I'd have froze to death before i got to Tennessee.:D

Nothing nefarious involved. Only a minor issue with the ordering process.

JB is a true class act!

naw you're too kind. Jeff's the best if he told ya all the headaches he had to wait through.....a very patient and decent man.
