Quick question then back to contest. Dubz do you shoot in RAW? I've never shot knives before, I've done a few pregnancy shoots and baby shoots, but nothing inanimate, that might be a new challenge. I dont have my camera here though, unfortunately. The lenses would have gotten scratched to hell and back. What kind of lens do you use?
 
I just use a little Sony Cybershot DSC-W55. It's an older model now. It takes nice photos, but it has more to do with the post processing:

Wow! The photos you put out are as detailed as ones I take with my Canon T1i. Fantastic post processing, brother!

That's what I use!! The photographer just needs to have a good eye for taking the pictures. I'm still working on my eye.

good lighting, background, and making sure the subject is in line with the rule of thirds are all part of taking a good picture.

OK, final whine here...
If I have to sit in the woods of 2 days, whittling with razor sharp knives..at least allow a cooler for BEER only...no food, just some wobbly pops.
Is that too much to ask?? I think not.
 
I never, and I repeat never hit the woods without a flask full of whiskey. By all means, take one along. Good thing about whiskey, is its good to drink. Some folks say that it can be used as an antiseptic, sterilize stuff, but I drink it. If I'm hurt, and you pour my whiskey on me, I'm gonna come unhinged.

Cooler of beer? No.

Flask of whiskey, or even a pint, sure, do something with the bottle when you're done.

I may send something that ya'll craft to Kabar, to go on "The Wall". Yeah, ya'll have a Wall. You'll see it soon.

o thank god.......now this survival trip is gona be a cake walk, i was trying to think of how to pass the time (what to make, try, build) but since i can have whiskey, forget all that......

Just keep the beer and support crew off camera, along with the hotel which will no doubt be right across the street.
