I ordered one of these as soon as it became available, and it arrived today. For the added steel thickness and larger handle, I can hardly tell any difference in weight than the Clipper. Came razor sharp with the typical Mora fit and finish. I'm pretty excited to get it out for side by side use against the Clipper and other knives. Anyway, thought a couple comparison shots were in order.

Check out the difference in handle length, it's also slightly bigger around. Ham fisted guys, here is your Mora! It really does feel nice and comfy.

I don't know if the tang goes any further into the handle, but I thought it was worth the gamble for 15 bucks :D I really like the fatter handle too. Just used it for some kitchen work

I think I need one !

Can you afford not to get one?! :D

One other thing I forgot to snap a pic of, it comes with the new Mora sheath with a button on the front where you can attach another Mora sheath. I tested it out and don't know that I will use that feature, but it's kind of interesting.

Hard to justify not getting this one. Looks like it would have a more comfortable grip, and I already like the Clippers grip.

So when you all get one...

Please report back how it is different from the regular carbon High Q that has the same blade as the Mora #1

Ragweed Forge has 'em right now. I'll probably get some in the next time I order a shipment of Moras, but that may be a little while since I just stocked up.

Where did you guys order yours from?

I don't want to anger the mods with potential dealspotting, but you can do what I did:

I just googled "Mora Robust", and got an order from the first shopping site that came up...

I'll PM you, keyser...

Very impressed with mine. Handle feels great in the hand in all the grips that I use, shaving sharp out of the box, perfectly balanced at the index finger, and a pretty darn good sheath when it comes right down to it for the price. Fit and finish isn't perfect with a molding line on the spine of the blade and few small molding tags on the handle, but this definitely the best $19.80 (including shipping) I have ever spent on a knife. Bang to buck ratio is through the freaking roof on this one, guys.

Mine is very similar... Here's a couple of crappy phone cam pics, but they give you an idea of the spine molding flaws...

As psychophipps said, its nothing I can't overlook for a blade that's $20 delivered...

Technically that's from blanking, not molding. Semantics, I know, but basically that's just where they left the the spine as-stamped rather than spending the extra machine hours to grind it down. You can easily file it down if you like. :)

Oh, it's nothing that bothers me personally, but I thought folks might like to see it. The only thing I might do is square up the shoulders near the handle joint, for a better strike on a firesteel.

Yeah I didn't figure you minded it or anything--just pointing out how easy it is to pretty up if it matters to folks. :)

I think I found my next knife! Thanks for the pics guys.
