Moses on the Mount

Fewer numbers available, newer "better" design, economy is better, no assault ban buying spree, no ammo stockpiling, more money available to buy these...5 weeks max till their gone! If you don't get one...Moses won't be going to your promised land either 😄

they'll make more if they sell well would be my guess

Have a 20 and to me in the looks department the 20 wins. I know you don't judge a book by its cover and on that note I'm going to be patient on this one 🤔

Bladite, this is a limited run like the 20, they haven't made anymore 20s have they.....or did they....kinda....🤔

(Moses specs from KaBar)

Sheaths made ... elsewhere

I don't get it, boss. Seems like a bundock with a curved clip and reduced nub. No changes in grind. How come it feels like a better chopper? Less weight makes it swing faster?

Ok so here is the impression I got from Ethan. The proto in the photo I posted earlier is the bk20 proto, not the bk29. That was what John Moses (kabar knife designer) designed and gave to Ethan. Ethan then worked his magic on it and boom the bk20 was born. Now because kabar is nice and people are still wanting the bk20s they decided to come out with the so-called original Moses design that is basically the same as the proto of the bk20. I played with both the bk20 and bk29 for a good while at the gathering and the difference in performance is negligible. The clip point is curved on the bk29 and goes back farther. However. The biggest difference is the fact that the bk29 has more blade height especially near the handle. This makes the edge thinner than the bk20 and perhaps more "slicey". Ethan seemed to think this was a good thing and an improvement. So who are we to question the boss man.

Right on knifejunkie,Thanks for insight 👍

Thanks KnifeJunkie for the insight on the Moses! I for one am happy this knife is available! And I do recall several members preferred the look of the prototype over the 20, so here is their chance.

I ordered 2. I am liking the look and the report on balance. We have a 20, and I will look at that and compare once these arrive.

it was a lot of fun to play with at the gathering - and I doubt anyone was disappointed in it's performance during the little "knife rodeo" on Saturday afternoon.
I may have to use mine in the upcoming shelter making competition.
