Mossberg Juct In Case shotgun

Seen em. Mossberg is doing some weird things with their shotguns. I saw one that looked like it had a 5in ported compensator/silencer thingy on the end.

I just cannot find the space to fit one in my PSK no matter how I rearrange my altoid tin.

;)

They have been out for a few years.

If you have the money and are a conspiracy theory type, it is pretty cool.

Ya take a post hole digger and load up the cae with ammo and granola bars and drop the whole thing down under fencepost #5 on your property. That way when the jack booted stormtroopers come to collect all your iron and go snooping around with metal detectors, your safe. When you want to retrieve, you just push fencepost #5 back and forth, to and fro and pull her up.

I'll just take my Remington 870 express thanks.

Just throw out all that stuff you don't need in the wilderness like your knife, firesteel, tinder and compass and you'll easily be able to fit in a chopped-down shotgun.

Not the one that looks like a flash hider with spikes, this one was huge and had small holes all over it. Weird setup.

I've played with one that belongs to a friend. It can be controled but recoil is brutal, think of it as an enormous pistol. The holey, spikey, flash-hider looking thingy is a combo door breacher & impact weapon.

Jake, I saw something like that a few years ago. Looked big enough around to put a golf ball in.

Never, ever shoot magnum slug rounds in a pistol grip scattergun.:D I watched a friend of mine do it and that ol' barrel jumped up and slapped him in the head when the gun went off. Never seen anything like it. Funny as heck.:D

Good for close quarters inside combat...or crawling through and clearing man tunnels...but hiking through the wilderness? No thanks...instead...give me a CZ or Browning .22LR so I can carry 500 rounds for the cost of 25 12GA...and hit something further than 25 yards. YMMV.

I like the case but I'll stick to my 870 as well.

IMO, pistol grips like this one are quite bad at directing the recoil. On my shorty I have an angled grip that is similar to this below and I find that the recoil is much more manageable.

True story:
I took a Friday off from work not long ago. Qjr and I went to the range. When we pulled up we say a middle aged guy gettin' out of a Porsche. "Man I'd like to have that guy's firearms," I said to 'ol Qjr. "Why?" "'Cause thatsa $70,000 vehicle," I replied, "I bet he's got some fine weapons."
We commenced with perforation of our paper circles and I noticed Mr. Porsche is dinging away with a nice looking small cal carbine. I asked him if he was shooting a 9mm carbine and he tells me it's an Uzi. Ok I think. Uzi. That's kinda useless. Looks nice, but what's the point of a semi-auto Uzi. Next thing I know Porsche pulls out a pistol-grip shotgun with a extremely short barrel, brings it up to him face -- to "aim" it I guess

-- and...KABOOMBO...he drops the shotgun and blood is pouring...and I mean pouring...out of his nose. Let's take a look-see says the range officer..."you gotta go to the hospital" the range officer tells him..."part of your nose is missing." I hand him a rag. "Thanks he says." "No problem I say...keep it." I tell him to let me see and it appears that a "sighting system he had on his mutant ninja shotgun has sliced his nose in half. "Dude," I say, "you gotta find a plastic surgeon...now."

Haha, a buddy of mine did about the same thing. We were shooting mine and he decided he wanted to try to look down the barrel when shooting at a few skeet. The butt popped him in the cheek and he got a bloody lip. We all had a good laugh at his expense.

:D Too funny. Money just can't buy skill, can it?

my first foray into the world of Pistol Grip Only shotguns was with my uncle. He was shooting his uber tactical Mossberg 500 with the heat shield and side saddle. Trying to use the ghost ring sights.

i could see he was having a rather tough time. Even with game loads. When my turn came around I twisted the grip into my hip and unloaded a couple 7 1/2 game loads. Eh, no biggie. I then stoked it with a couple rounds of 00 Buck 2 3/4" loads...

ouch!

Woke up the nest day with a sore wrist and a bruise in my hip the size of a softball.:p

Ain't no way I'd want to put a 3" magnum or slug down range with a PG shotgun. Give me some reduced recoil Hornady TAP and a full stock on my 18" 870 and I'd probably out shoot at mall ninja wannabe with his pistol grip, ghost ringed, heat shielded evil black shotgun on any COF he chooses.

Not blowin' my own horn. I just feel that most that grab a pistol grip shotgun as their HD weapon have no idea how inaccurate and miserable they are to use.

yeah thats it! I dont know what its for, and neither did the shop owner. He had the spikey breacher bbl, and this one. Im gonna see if I can find a pic...

It wouldnt have been hard to put a colapseable stock or folder on the tube one. Wonder why they didnt. I guess its who they are marketing it to.

orrey45 has it right. IF you want a pistol grip on a shotgun, that is the type to have. Even easier, just saw the stock off and sand it onto shape like the one shown. That is the only tolerable pistol grip for a 12ga.

Unfortunately, it does nothing to improve aim.
