Wow, very, very nice, AL!:thumbup: I completely agree with you on that Fremont!
Perry

Thanks, Perry!

Gary, that is very nice file work on your Don Morrow. Love the profile/lines, too.

Charles, beautiful knives as usual.

And +1 on Jeff's... really gorgeous mammoth ivory.

Keep 'em coming everybody!

I posted this photo in the GEC group shots thread awhile back. Out of this bunch, it's probably a tie between the Fremont in mammoth ivory and the Viper in elephant ivory.

Great thread... there are some really beautiful knives posted here!

Ya think?!!

Thanks for all the nice comments on my Bobby Toole custom. Anyone who can make it to the Arkansas Custom Knife show in Little Rock the weekend of Feb. 21-22, do yourself a favor and do it. Great show and Bobby will be there. That's where I bought this one last year. Here's the pile side, too.

I'm not sure which of these qualifies as exotic, but they are all knives I have built or rescaled with exotic or unusual woods, which I have either purchased, or harvested from my own trees.

Here is a big lockback I made from a Schrade blade and spring, which I scaled in osage orange

A TL-29 I rescaled in desert ironwood

Dma your knives all look amazing. I was hoping to find some exotic woods in this thread. I really like wood scales. My favorite knive is a snakewood 25. I don't have any new pics but I've posted pics of it a couple of time now.

I really love the look of snakewood a lot, but it is wicked expensive and notoriously difficult to keep from cracking when working with it. Osage Orange is currently my favorite because it is not too expensive, very durable, and fairly easy to work with.

I also like desert ironwood a lot, but it has a nasty smell when it is being sanded.

Thank you very much Jeff! Every time I think I will carry it, only to bail out from it at the last minute.

I missed that beauty somehow, Perry. Holy smokes ...its exotic for sure. Give it some pocket time and carry a beater in the other pocket;)

Gary
That Don Marrow is fantastic from every angle!! Hope to see more of it in the future:thumbup::thumbup:

Love the flow of that drop point Perry. Carrying it the first time is the hardest, but it will only look better with carry and use :)

Gorgeous knives and fantastic photos, dma1965!! You must be very proud of the results of your efforts, and very pleased to see the rapid improvement in your skills and abilities!:thumbup:

Perry, do the handles of that knife you showed really come from the everyday lowly box elder??:eek::confused:
That's amazing!!

Thank you Gev, Jeff and GT! And yes it is, GT. Not sure how Todd gets the dye to transfer into this special Burl wood but it sure makes for an interesting handle! Gev and Jeff, hopefully someday I will get it out and carry it,,,someday!:D

I don't buy much exotic or custom - I guess this about the only thing I have that would fit in.

Exotic stones and black onyx in this Yellowhorse custom Case Baby Butterbean:

I wish that he had not used a limited edition Case blade - the knife is really a one of one. :o;)

None of mine are really what I would call exotic, but if I had to pick one for that category, it would be the Grohmann. Just because it's a little different.

Nice rosewood handles, anyway!

Carrying it today, so I'll throw it in the mix.
